by tournament you mean B10 tournament, not NCAA tournament. A guaranteed spot in that tournament will take a few more wins!
I thought it was obvious.
Sparty No translates to baseball as well? Penn State was 3-19 heading into this game.
What is the story with "Staee"?
That is awesome on so many different levels!
It's a car that they vandalized
Illinois beat Minnesota today, and evidently the Illini have now clinched a spot in the Big Ten tourney. Michigan needs a win either tonight or tomorrow against Nebraska or a loss by MSU tomorrow to get in. The Wolverines are currently trailing the Cornhuskers 5-2 in the top of the 4th.
What has happened to our pitching? It was at least okay earlier in the season but in the last few weeks every opponent has gotten 8-10 runs on us.
Seems like Evan Hill, for one, has hit a bit of a freshman wall. He's had some rough outings lately and had another one tonight.
It's now 7-2 Nebraska in the bottom of the fifth.
not 35 degrees and snowing every game, hitters don't actually fear contact with the ball and the numbing reverberation going up their arms.
O'Neill just hit a grand slam in the top of the 8th to cut Nebraska's lead to 9-6.
Michigan couldn't complete the comeback and fall to Nebraska 9-6. The Wolverines need a win tomorrow or an MSU loss tomorrow to secure a Big Ten tourney berth. The Michigan-Nebraska game tomorrow is at 1:00 ET and will be broadcast on the BTN. MSU's finale vs. PSU is also scheduled for 1:00 ET.
Have to say that our odds don't look good. Nebraska is better than us and I'd be surprised if MSU choked up another to Penn State
Logan McAnallen (3-2; 3.18 ERA) is the Michigan starter today, and he's had some good outings lately, while Nebraska is sending Tyler Niederklein (1-1, 5.11 ERA) to the mound, so at least on paper the pitching matchup seems favorable.
The only other thing to watch today is the Illinois-Minnesota game. If Michigan wins and Minnesota loses, then Michigan will be seeded 5th in the BTT and Minnesota 6th.
