Help send a UM student group to the whitehouse
A group I am involved with on campus, students for educational equality was picked as a finalist for the campus champions of change competition. At SEE we tutor over 400 ypsilanti and detroit public school juniors and provide free ACT tutoring as well as mentorship. It is a great program and I hope you guys can help out by voting. Pretty much the top 5 vote getting groups get to go the whitehouse and host some mtv show (I'm not sure on that one I'm not actually part of the executive board, just tutor) Thanks for the help.

Interestingly, "[email protected]" was already in use, so I had to add a 2 at the end of mine. Perhapse I'll go for 3 in a bit.

I remember this very well. took a few beers from Dad's Stash and invited a few of the local ladies over for the start of the Magic. Now THAT was "back in the day"

If you mean the place where the President lives, it's the White House, not "whitehouse."

"you thought we were going to the White House? LOL!!!...."

I better not regret giving "ak47" my three votes to go to the White House. You hear that, Secret Service? Not my fault.

Mike Maiorono went to my high school and is a really good guy. He has been involved with volunteering in Detroit before and represents UofM well. I sent my three votes in and the more we can get for him would be great. UofM has a great network in DC and the more we can students connected there the better.

Since I'm in Chicago I, along with my deceased family members and friends voted 20 times each......
Don't ask how .....that's just the way we do things here.

hey guys, i'm on the exec board of SEE. long time mgoblog reader, apparently never activated my account. thank you all so much for the support! unfortunately, we're getting killed right now by a bunch of other schools (mizzou, arkansas, princeton, brown, arkansas, umass....and grinnell. which has a grand total of 1688 students). please keep forwarding this to people! unfortunately undegrads are all on spring break right now so we're having a tough time reaching out to people..
SEE is an awesome group and getting into the top five would give us such a great platform to spread the word about our org. and brag about how great michigan is!
if you'd like to know anything more about SEE, let me know!

If I were you, I would post your link in some of the more recent threads on the board. Any of the drinking threads are fair game, and I'm sure you'd be fine posting in a thread about academics/extracirriculars.
Another piece of advice that I actually just did, go ahead and put the link in your signature along with a brief description of why people should click. You can edit your signature by going to "my account" on the left side of the screen and then clicking "edit".

No problem; I don't know how much you read the site but most people are more than willing to help out other MGoBloggers. Good luck getting to DC.
