Some decent games, but college football is back on thank god
December 17th, 2011 at 2:30 PM ^
I don't get into college basketball until conference play starts and that is always right around the time football is completely done, so it works out perfectly.
I watch Michigan basketball games, but I don't live and die with them like I do the football team. College football is just on another level than basketball.

Who'd have thought these two guys would agree on something?
December 17th, 2011 at 2:56 PM ^
I honestly didn't even notice that I replied to Vader.
December 17th, 2011 at 3:13 PM ^
Well they did agree for awhile, until Vader's kids started making problems for him that interfered with his work.

When you try and institute forced retirement on someone, and try and hire his son as his replacement.

<br>You get the shaft.

I can actually be a very agreeable person
December 17th, 2011 at 3:22 PM ^
You accept apologies graciously.

Captain Needa begs to differ.
December 17th, 2011 at 4:27 PM ^
He accepted it.

I thought I was the only one that would rather watch hoops than football matchups I wouldn't watch during the regular season so why should I watch them now??
December 17th, 2011 at 2:34 PM ^
Looking ahead for M. They should get off to a good start in the BIG this year, with home games against Penn St. and Minn. to open the BIG season,
December 17th, 2011 at 2:41 PM ^
Butler's pretty bad this year. Not looking like they can slow down Purdue at all.
December 17th, 2011 at 3:00 PM ^
I was really hoping for a competitive game. Hopefully the Ohio (not that Ohio) game will be better at 5:00 and then SDSU at 9:00.

I just found out I get BYUTV. How is that even a thing? Now I get to watch BYU-Baylor. 390 for Comcast subscribers.
December 17th, 2011 at 3:15 PM ^
Anyone else think it's weird that Baylor's best football play is Robert Griffin III and their best basketball player is Perry Jones III. No? Okay, my mistake.
December 17th, 2011 at 3:11 PM ^
Texas A&M-Florida just tipped off on FSN. Might be the best game of the day.

Wow Purdue with another choke job. Butler is a fun team to watch, like the old Gonzaga.
December 17th, 2011 at 5:15 PM ^
Indiana-ND a close game late in the first half.
Illinois-UNLV in the United Center.
Finally, a couple of good games to watch.
December 17th, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
That BYU-Baylor game was crazy. BYU looks really good even without Jimmer. On the other hand, PJ3 is incredible for Baylor. Glad he's okay after his knee injury late.
December 17th, 2011 at 6:43 PM ^
Indiana beats Notre Dame. Not looking great for Illinois.
December 17th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
Doesn't seem to be all that much interest in basketball so I'll mix in some Red Wings talk. Wings looking dominant, up 3-0 in the first 10 minutes against the Kings. Kings have been anemic on offense lately, going 10 straight without scoring more than two goals so this game may already be over.

MSU 35, BGSU 33 at halftime
December 17th, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
MSU up 35-33 against Bowling Green at half. Sparty not handling their business very easily...
December 17th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
yeah and earlier in the week Tim Staudt (the lansing area sports guy) said that MSU had a couple of easy wins before conference play. whoops
December 17th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
As a BG alum, beating sparty would be huge! Hope BG can win this one.
December 17th, 2011 at 8:30 PM ^
Sparty pulling away now. They were 19 point favorites but looked really bad in the first half. Had to expect Izzo to settle them down at half.

Also a heads up. Womens volleyball national championship on ESPN2. Tall girls, tiny shorts - you in?

KState up 26-24 on Alabama at halftime on ESPNU
