Back of the Scoreboard?
They're clearly lifting and putting things on the back of the North scoreboard at Michigan Stadium, but you can't tell what from the Stadium Cam. Can anyone on the ground in Ann Arbor give us an update or a picture?
Sorry if this is too OCD. I need to start taking my meds more frequently. But it would answer a lot of questions about what the backs of the scoreboards will look like.
This is a rare double post that actual doubles the viewer's entertainment. Kudos! But don't try it again.
Also this might be the only time ever that a double post has one at +5 Funny and one at -1 Trolling. I didn't even upvote the trolling one because it was funny to see.
But given how huge the screen is, you could probably view it without entering the stadium gates (and thus not have to pay).
How do you get from the bottom to top level? Am I missing something?
Not sure if this is a serious question, or perhaps I don’t understand it, but the diagonal railings are actually stairways. You can see them better in this photo:
Brick with an inset block M would kick ass.
lol. in the first picture you cant see where you can turn and go up another level.
It would be great to be able to watch Michigan in The College World Series of Softball on a colossus wolverine scoreboard.
I always thought it would be cool to broadcast big road games in venues in Ann Arbor. For example, broadcasting a big basketball/football game at Crysler. Games are always more fun to watch with fellow fans, and sometimes the bars just don't seem like the best places to go.
I knew that. Stupid phone.
I'm just an idiot and couldn't go back to edit by the time I did notice.
That'd be awesome. Can you imagine setting up seats on the football field and showing games on the big screen? Or maybe just movie night.
Next innovation - 3D godzillatrons.
I guessed at 50' x 80'. Anybody have the real dimensions? Maybe they have already been posted and I missed it?
This is why I love this site.
Back in the day if I had an idle thought in my head like . . . "I wonder what the back of the scoreboard will look like", I had to keep it to myself. I had no outlet for my various idle obsessive Michigan thoughts.
Now, I can read 62 posts about the back of the scoreboard. That's AWESOME.
Bring on the yellow piping on the away-jerseys.
Watching the thunderstorm tonight on the video feed is kinda cool, not sure why but it looks cool.
It's way cool, thanks for the tip.
As a band alumnus and one who always entered the stadium from the North, on the back of the old South Endzone Scoreboard there was a screen through the block M. I never saw it on, thus my question. What would the screen say on gameday? Michigan? Go Blue? the score? I always found it interesting that it was embedded in the South scoreboard but not the north.
I think the screen through the block M would flash differant types information, like vist MGoBlue.com, the date of next home game, go blue, ticket sales information, short stuff passing cars could read.
