BG Update
As an Eagles fan in Philadelphia I've been following a good deal of their training camp and watching most of the practice videos online and I just wanted to give you all a quick update on Brandon Graham. He basically has been dominating anyone who tries to block him. Almost every recent article I've read pertaining to the Eagles camp has mentioned something about how impressive BG has been. Hugh Douglas (who obviously was a pretty damn good D End himself) said on one of the local radio stations this morning that Graham might have the quickest first step off the ball he's ever seen. He said he reminds him a lot of Dwight Freeney. Trent Cole was also saying how he pretty much thinks he's going to be a beast in the NFL and that those two are going to be giving QB's nightmares because they won't be able to double both of them. Just figured I'd share.

5 years base salary of $60 million, and he can earn up to $68 million with incentives. $40 million guaranteed. Only $2 million less than Stafford's deal a year ago.

Live stream can be found at the link above, also the psych sheet can be found below the date near the top of the page.
There are several Club Wolverine swimmers at this race; Michael Phelps, Robert Savulich, Julia Andracki, Michael Swain, Matthew Patton and Alex and Peter Vanderkaay. *Brian posted an article on Peter Vanderkaay in the side bar earlier this week.
Part of the meet will be televised on NBC.
Two weeks after this meet is the Pan Pacific Championship which should be a good showdown against Australia.
EDIT:
Peter Vanderkaay interview was shown during day 1 of the meet. He talked about swimming in the 1500 and times with out the fast suits. Then towards the end he lifted up his cap with a big Block M on it that said C.S. Mott Childrens Hospital. He said that he will be dedicating his swims to those children and that he try to make it up their at least once a week.
OT - Frazier (Tigers)
OK - I started watching the Chisox-Tigers game in the 7th inning. Granted the game is over. But I saw enough of Frazier in the 7th inning to immediately send him to the minors and call up another batter before game 2.
I saw him "dog it" on 2 defensive plays in the bottom of the 7th - 1)a looping liner that bounced about 3 steps in front of him. he barely moved and 2) a gapper that he took a bad angle and the ball went over his head. he then loafed to retrieve the ball. I mean, this guy is playing in his 4th big league game. it's one thing if he hit like manny ramirez, but he ain't no manny. and he's a rookie!!
jackson muffed a ball earlier but hustled and got a force out. it's one thing to lose (and lose big) but at least hustle your ass, especially if you're a rookie. make a point and send him down before game 2.
(and ya, i know the tigers are done, but it's the principle of the thing).
