Once again...

Once again, tiny-minded humans from opposing fan bases see the same thing as Michigan fans and come onto our board and try to invalidate what everyone in the world saw on Monday night. Referees that shifted the momentum of the game at the end of the first half by calling ticky-tack fouls, putting two of our best players on the bench, and shifting the momentum to our opponent.

We get it. You don't like Michigan. A lot of refs don't like Michigan. Jealousy is stil part of the human condition in the year 2018. Take a bow douchebag. And head back to the Rape Cedar Message Board where you belong.

Brunson was unlikeable to

Brunson was unlikeable to watch. Like Rob Gray. At least Gray didn't throw his beef around as much and act like he was the one taking the hits. The refs could have fouled out Brunson very early in the game but their treatment of him was a microcosm of their overall performance. Biased. Reprehensable. Momentum-shifting. Forgotten in the end.

Swallow your whistle at your own peril

Caption might read:

"Swallow your whistle in the NC against Michigan under 6 and it might be your last meal. Don't forget who puts food on your table Tony, alright. We cool?"

Just for posterity...

At least it's not Tony Greene

Could be worse. Somehow Tony "Burke's Block" Greene still has a job and he's not on the list. Could be worse I suppose... Tony Greene remains employed after the beautiful Burke block

Keith Kimble and Randy McCall

Kimble & McCall officiated the FSU game on Saturday. I thought that game was poorly officiated and that Keith Kimble, in particular, made several questionable calls that went against Michigan. I made a mental note at the time that I hoped he would not officiate another one of our games this year.

Why? They took the money. They took the money away. Stop making sense.

Hope

aaahhhhh.... HOPE.

I was so not ready yet to relinquish my daydream. And you, Brian, just allowed me to indulge in my Harbaugh fantasy for a while longer. :-)

Like a buying a lottery ticket and not looking at the numbers even after they're called. For weeks. I WANT TO BELIEVE!

Then again, I'd be very happy with Mullen or Patterson too, if they'd even consider us.

Mike DeBord Upon learning this morning that Mike DeBord is calling potential coaches on our behalf, I have lost all faith in UM's ability to get a good coach here. If true, that is just downright depressing. If DeBord gets his way, somehow we'll be seeing Scot Loeffler back in A2 in some capacity. Ugh. And people wonder why Drew Sharp went all anti-Michigan after graduating from UM. Since firing RR, I found the arrogance and the "This is Michigan" crap souring me in a way I never thought possible.
Why Hat? I realize fans are looking for something stable after the last 7 years, but I don't understand why it doesn't concern a lot more M fans that the vast majority of LSU fans are hoping we "take Les off their hands" so they can get someone like Mullen? Les's career seems to be following the same downward trajectory as coaches like JoPa, Lloyd, Beamer, Bowden. I understand the "stop the bleeding" sentiment but I think it's just as likely that Miles will struggle mightily as it is that someone like Mullen would turn out to be a home run. Too bad, we are Michigan and we will probably go for the perceived safe choice.
Harbaugh is thinking about...

Harbaugh is thinking about "getting it right."

He says so right here. Numerous times. (Without his symbolic 49er's baseball cap).

Re: hackett, would you mind elaborating?

In what capacity did you work for him? And what were your interactions like? What gives you "zero hope?"

There were a few of these anecdotal stories shared by former employees when Brandon was hired at UM but most were dismissed because "rah rah rah, former CEO, played for Bo, rah rah rah." I think it's safe to say that most of us have had no personal or professional interactions with Jim Hackett and I'm curious to hear what yours were. Thanks.

Hoke's Post game presser

I do agree there was a little more conviction in his answer this time around to the question "will you be the football coach?" Or could be he's just got more comfortable with being defiant since the questions have been coming for so long now.

Scan ahead to the 3:10 mark for the relevant Q&A:

I hope you find yourself I hope you find yourself locked in an empty, dark closet someday -- just you and your big brain and the darkness -- save an audio stream coming from some unknown location playing a never-ending stream of Brady Hoke press conferences. So your massive brain can continue to absorb valuable football bits and insights, further dwarfing us brainwashed sheeple who can not see how Brady Hoke is exactly what this program needs. EDIT: response to OP account "Keep Brady Hoke" which apparently has been deleted. He was explaining how we had basically been brainwashed by the media into thinking Brady Hoke is not a good coach.
Probably Baloo. And I think Probably Baloo. And I think that's where it ends. FWIW... You have always been one my favorite posters. Sorry, if that's not exactly a compliment given my negative mgoblog points status.
If I could, I would neg you If I could, I would neg you 5,000 times myself. In the 8 years I've been reading mgoblog, you're my third least favorite poster (behind Clarkie and Magnus). Your embracing of mediocrity, and belief Michigan has ever been elite in the modern era, is precisely what has ailed Michigan football in my lifetime, and sickens me frankly.
*I still remember* Isn't just the name of a very good Cranberries song. Back in 2006-2007, you were defending the elite status of our program. Scoffing at the notion of us becoming the next Notre Dame. Using asterisks unwisely, if not foolishly. Encapsulating made-up words like *cocksure* to describe the superiority complex that UM sports somehow gave you over your fellow realtors. Well listen, you *cocksure* prick: You stupid f*ck who used to begin his posts with "Dear Friends" and talk to people like they knew nothing about the direction of the program. Screw you for knowing nothing and always talking like you do. Our program sucks because of non-demanding jerk-off's like you who think -- well, don't think about anything about what they're spoon fed. Let me boil it down for you: if my friends ever took my last name and added an "ie" at the end, and I embraced it because maybe I played high school hockey or rugby in Canada, then sold some real estate but pretended to be something else, well then just have someone shoot me. Because at that point, I would have realized that I was just one, giant douchebag with one never ending bad opinion. This is you Mr. Clark. And f*ck you for supporting my team. Your support has been, will always be, a detriment.
