With Ryan a long time ago now.

FHN class of '04. Small world, a shame it took a tragedy like this to find out how many FHN grads are on here.

12/17/2015 - 1:00pm Remaining Targets

Is Connor Murphy still a potential add for this class? Seems highly rated, heard plenty of stories about him early, and 24/7 still seems to like our chances. Anyone know what the story is with him right now?

06/06/2015 - 3:03pm Strong Start

Heck of a start by Barca. This might not be much of a game by the second half.

Over under on Cautions to Juve this game at 6?

12/04/2014 - 6:45pm You mean just like everything

You mean just like everything Bo could claim Woody could claim? Not exactly the same bit it was the first thing I thought of...

01/25/2014 - 11:18pm Upset Beilein

Watching with no volume, does anyone know why he got so upset with 4 minutes left in the game?

12/02/2013 - 10:11pm Well played

Another example of why you are one of my favorite posters

10/19/2013 - 8:26pm difference

today our d wasn't good enough that we could sit our starters the whole second half.

10/03/2013 - 7:05pm Michigan 38-20

Michigan victory

09/12/2013 - 10:38am 55-6 Michigan

Go blue

09/08/2013 - 4:22pm Except maybe he does have some influence

http://www.michigandaily.com/sports/loneliest-number-how-five-men-made-jersey-tradition?page=0,12

Stan sets the story straight real quick. When Braylon established the $500,000 scholarship fund for receivers to carry on the No. 1 tradition, it was the school that brought it to him in writing: you will be consulted on who gets to wear the jersey.

09/04/2013 - 11:46am Go Blue

24-13 Michigan

09/03/2013 - 12:33pm Woodson

Just a beast, crazy to see him and Countess next to each other and see the size difference.

08/29/2013 - 1:46pm Go Blue

41-13 Michigan

08/16/2013 - 1:04pm Lewan

I read the comments about the Lewan pronounciation before listening and thought it couldn't really be that bad....but seriously it distracted me from the analysis and made me keep fighting to not think of Brian as another teams commentator talking about Michigan.

For all the crap Brian gives other people for not knowing what they are talking about this was pretty embarrasing

08/14/2013 - 10:23pm Fine

Then who should we target this year? Can you name one more proven option than Gallon? No, alright cool man. Yeah if we had David Terrell, Braylon Edwards, and Jason Avant ready to roll out I wouldn't want Dileo getting major targets either! But look who we do have.

08/14/2013 - 7:59pm And while we're at it

Why the hell would anyone want a bum like Wes Welker! Slower and smaller than Calvin Johnson what is the point of even walking him out on the field!

08/14/2013 - 4:34pm What a win

Love to see Altidore rounding into form and some promissing performances from young players

08/13/2013 - 11:39am Worst Meyer Comparison

Ramzy says if Meyer was an accountant, left a job under dubious circumstances, then got a new job, no one would hold those against him like they are now holding his actions in Gainsville against him.

Yes they would! That kills me. His analogy is saying basically if he cooked the books at a past company, then left and got a job somewhere else, no one would care that he cooked the books at that last place, just don't do it again here. Just a terrible analogy that I wanted to complain about for no real reason.

07/24/2013 - 11:27am Back Home

Didn't he actually end up flying back home, seeing that nothing had really changed, and then fly back up to Michigan? At least thats the way I remember it from the BO book.

07/24/2013 - 11:21am Refs

I don't know about football or basketball, but the Big Ten actually does still allow coaches to ban certain refs in other sports. I am a soccer ref and have a friend who is banned from doing MSU games just because the coaches don't like him.

07/24/2013 - 11:17am Conflicting reports

http://www.michigandaily.com/sports/loneliest-number-how-five-men-made-jersey-tradition?page=0,12

Stan sets the story straight real quick. When Braylon established the $500,000 scholarship fund for receivers to carry on the No. 1 tradition, it was the school that brought it to him in writing: you will be consulted on who gets to wear the jersey.

Also, Brandon Graham earned the scholarship one year so it does not have to go to a WR.

http://braylonedwards.com/media/braylon-edwards-no-1-should-go-to-u-m-game-changer/

Here is another relevant quote from this artivle,

“He was asking me about the number,” Edwards said of Hoke. “I said, ‘You know, coach, for the No. 1 jersey, everyone looks to me, but at the end of the day, it’s on you. You feel like someone deserves to wear the number, you feel comfortable, you have my blessing to give it to whoever you want.’”

So basically you won't be able to find a complete answer to this question.
07/19/2013 - 12:41pm American Outlaws

The supporters section typically buys the enline tickets and they had so much demand for this game that I believe they took both endlines and are creeping in on the sidelines.

04/27/2013 - 8:54am costco

if you have a membership they have great deals. in ten years ive bought two laptops, spent $500 a piece (and they actually refunded me the price of one because after three years the charger broke) and never had any real problems with them. plus their support/warranty is phenomenal

04/10/2013 - 2:05pm Valid Points

I referee soccer on a fairly high level and have had the opportunity to ref at regional and national level tournaments. There is a progression to qualify for each level and there are specific policies in place to keep situations like this from happening. In the state level you typically avoid teams you have seen before once you reach the semi-final/final round. At the regional level you are not allowed to ref a team from your home state. At the national level you cannot ref anyone from your region.

You would think the NCAA would have a similar policy here, not that I doubt the ref's integrity in any way, I just think you have a point about anticipating plays based on their experiences with UL which could have affected a couple calls.

Just seems like another bad NCAA policy I guess...

04/07/2013 - 12:23am Analysts

No media guy has given us any credit. I love seeing these guys proving everyone wrong!!!

04/07/2013 - 12:12am Listening to

Boeheim ripping Greg Doyell was hilarious too! His whole press conference is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!

04/07/2013 - 12:07am whiskey and lots of it!!!!!!

HAIL HAIL HAIL HAIL HAIL HAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

04/03/2013 - 11:25pm Nike Mistakes

So can we all admit that Nike had/has some terrible designs as well and it isn't as simple as switching between the two (or a third like under armor) to get consistently good unis?

03/31/2013 - 5:06pm Seniors

Seeing the seniors was just the greatest moment. I love rewarding seniors on days like this!

03/31/2013 - 4:41pm HAIL HAIL

Loved the game from Spike! Who would have seen that coming from him

03/06/2013 - 11:50am Washington

Wouldn't that mean him beating out a fifth year senior Q Washington who performed pretty well by the end of last year? I think QWash will hold down the job for another year before giving way to Pipkins. It would just be nice to see Pipkins acquitting himself well in the snaps he does get.

02/07/2013 - 12:43pm Bo Would Disagree slightly

I believe it was in his Book "Bo" talking about the job at Texas A&M and illegal recruiting. He discusses that he felt like if a kid did well the booster would want to make sure everyone knew about how he was responsible for getting that kid to go to school there. If the kid sucks, the booster won't stop complaining to everyone who will listen that he paid $10K for that bum who does nothing but screw up.

Granted I largely agree with your premise, but do think that people talk about it. I just don't think the NCAA can do anything about it due to their overall lack of power.

02/07/2013 - 10:16am 72-67 MSU

Only because its at the Breslin and I hate myself for doing this...

01/30/2013 - 10:49am 69-65 Indiana

Only because its at home for them

01/02/2013 - 3:28pm Denard is key to me

Yes we did alright on offense against USC, but to me we had a serious dropoff when Denard wasn't on the field. He was our only consistent running threat and even when he didnt get the ball he kept at least 1 or 2 defenders distracted by his presense alone.

Without Denard next year, no proven RB coming back (unsure of how the injury will affect Fitz), an O line that should be slightly worse or about equal to this years, and no impact skill players coming in I could definitely see a big struggle on O next season.

12/17/2012 - 3:52pm Fair Point

I should have clarified that we are being priced out of the seats. But you are correct that we could choose to continue to pay more and more.

12/17/2012 - 12:50pm Season Tickets

My family and 5 others have a block of season tickets totalling 19 tickets. These have been in the respective families since the mid 70's. This next season will unfortunately be the last time we keep those seats due to the ticket price increase and introduction of PSL's. It is an unfortunate and somewhat shocking thing to think that after next season I may never sit in that same seat again that I watched Desmond and Charles return punts against OSU in. The same one that I got to sit in to witness Braylonfest, Biakabatuka's record breaking day against OSU, and Hokes first victory in the Game.

What disappoints me even more is that I will never have the chance to take my son (future/hopefully) to a game and sit in those same seats with my dad and explain the tradition of the university and the football team. This is what pains me most about the change in college football.

11/29/2012 - 12:06pm Best Example

Charles Woodson. Switched from RB in high school to CB in college. I'd say that worked out alright.

11/27/2012 - 8:16pm Rhythm

Just can't quite seem to get it back. Still not a bad half

11/27/2012 - 8:02pm no offense

but why is ekkune on the court?

11/27/2012 - 7:52pm How nice

Is it to have Spike to come off the bench. Kid hustles hard

11/27/2012 - 7:51pm Stauskas

What a great pickup by beilien. Great add for this team

11/27/2012 - 7:39pm Just Dirty

What a play by Stauskas

11/27/2012 - 7:38pm Look Lazy on O

Gotta work harder to find the offense

11/26/2012 - 1:12pm 2005

This game in some ways reminded me of the 2005 loss where the game was right there for the taking. In that game we punted it away at the end.

It just hurts right now...

11/22/2012 - 3:51pm Absolutely

But it is a stupid rule I would expect an NFL coach to be aware of.

11/22/2012 - 3:24pm Rules

It's reviewable unless the coach challenges it. How does an NFL coach not know that every TD is reviewed already?

Schwarts F'ed up, you can say the refs screwed up too, thats fine. But bottom line is Schwartz is the one who caused that play not to be reviewed.

11/22/2012 - 3:19pm Schwartz

Why isn't anyone else calling Schwartz a dumbass? He gave the Texans that TD not the refs. How does an NFL coach not know the rules? Especially after a similar play happened last weekend in a different game.

Plain and simple Schwartz is an idiot and cost the Lions that TD.
