Harbaugh Deadline Rumors

Heres a tidbit from ChatSports. Read the article also on the full Mora rumor and also as they explain the accuracy of their source. With the rest of this madness take with a brick of salt.

"Our source tells us that Michigan has given Jim Harbaugh a deadline of next Friday December 12th to give a 100% yes that he will accept the Michigan coaching job (privately) or they will move forward and hire Mora."

Brandon Minor and the Bears The good news for both Brandon Minor and Greg Matthews is the Bears only had 5 picks in the draft this year. Jerry Angelo, the Bears general manager, is quoted as saying that they will be hanging on to more of these FA signees because of the lack of draft picks this year. I think Matthews has a chance to make the roster and Minor if he takes a liking to special teams (which is expected of 3,4,5 string running backs for Chicago)will make it as well. He has to beat out kaleel Bell from UCLA (A FA signee from last year) and the undersized Garrett Wolf. Should be interesting to watch these guys at training camp this year.
JG immediate impact on the return game I think I can say that the biggest immediate impact JG will make for us is on kick off and punt returns. I think RR kinda had that in mind for JG when he was being recruted after the disaterous year we had last year in the kick off and punt return game. Don't get me wrong, I think he will be used very similar to how he was used in high school in the slot but I think he gives us a threat in the return game that we so badly missed last year. This is excellent news for the maize and blue!
Focus is on the wrong side of the ball! I understand that Threet was some what of news and everyone is worried about the freshmen QBs. The freshmen well play great and we will finally start scoring points. I have no doubt. What I am worried about is the lack of experience and major holes that need to be filled on defense. I think we can all agree that last years offense was a disappointment but with the starters we had on defense last year we should have been winning games 14 to 7. We had some ballers on defense and we were getting torched. Alot of those players are gone and we have an unbelievable amout of possible freshmen starting on D and we have a lot to fix. We will move the ball this year with the freshmen QBs but I think the big question is can we stop it.
Time to open up the rest of the playbook! We quickly forget that we were forced to play a limited and modified play book because of Threet and Sheridans limitations in the spread. Do to the limitations on offense (not having a mobile QB for the spread)we saw the mighty Maize and Blue only win 3 games. This new spread offense at Michigan needs to evolve into the high flying offense that RR promises and has been proven at West Virgina. T Force and D Rob can do that. You can not do that with threet, a better than average prostyle kid. The only benefit I could have seen from Threet staying was to help in the transition of the two freshmen. As far as I am concerned Sheridan can do that now. Don't get me wrong Threet was heads and tails a better all around QB (Than Sheridan) but as far as leader among our young QBs sheridan will do great. He is a very smart kid and will get our freshmen QBs prepared to start winning beginning with western Michigan.
