I think what the OP was…

I think what the OP was trying to point out was that nobody is talking about the floor on this team.  IF, big if, grant you, but if the team plays this way going forward the floor is absolutely no bowl game, whether that is 3-9 or something up to 5-7 doesn't matter IMO.  You can't honestly watch that clown show and think they're going to beat MD or Iowa, both of whom at least seem competent and full of effort.  ND/PSU/OSU/MSU, not a chance.

No, not keeping them for any…

No, not keeping them for any of the assistants.  I think Yak could very possibly be a good, maybe even great coach someday, but I feel like a smaller institution should bear the burden of that risk, not UM.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying I need Donovan or else.  I'm saying make the best BASKETBALL hire you CAN make.  In order to be able to make the hire, the coach has to be willing to come.

Also, I loved the integrity that JB brought to the program, I'm not advocating stooping down to other program's levels.  What I am saying is if there is a good hire out there that can be made and it is not made because the tree of integrity is in question, that's not a great position in my opinion.  I think you could count on one hand how many "basketball forests" there are with a "tree of integrity" standing tall in them.  UVA and Gonzaga are the only ones that come to mind.  If the tree has been chopped down then I don't want that coach, but if it's not chopped down, it's a judgement call on the tree itself and in that case I'd rather judge the forest.

Warde better figure out that…

Warde better figure out that the BASKETBALL is what is important.  I loved watching Beilein's style of play and how even when they were overmatched talent wise they rarely got blown out.  Donovan checks the Basketball box, the recruiting box, the elite in big games boxes better than anybody outside of the blind swing for the fence candidates.  The "he might have done something sometime" excuse if that's what he's going to use if he doesn't at least pick up the phone is 1000% unacceptable.

Seeing as just 3 months ago I deposited $ to get bball season tickets for this upcoming season, I for one will be speaking with the checkbook.  There are enough quality candidates to get with what Beilein built.  I am willing to throw the deposit away should a coach be hired that does not immediately fulfill the sense that the program will still be good, with the opportunity to move into being consistently elite.

This is not that hard.  LSU…

This is not that hard.  LSU beating Bama now means every SEC team has 1 loss.  The winner of the SEC title game will then get in no matter who it is and every other SEC team will not.  The end.  Geaux Tigers.

Also Beat Penn State.

Would never get old EVER Rooting can involve perspective if you so choose. Can you imagine the gnashing of teeth in EL when we hang a f4 banner in their face that we beat them head to head for? It would drive them insane for a school that is "supposed" to be better at bball. Plus anytime some sparty was annoying you about bball you could just go "remember that time..." that would never get old. The sec we lose hate on sparty but me personally wants an epic setup that e have minimal downside for
Plea to TV people - don't show the yips please. K thx.

Anyone else notice that the TV guys showed the muppet yips and literally 5 seconds later Allen gets the yips and drops the ball on the punt snap?  Yips are bad mmmkkay.

people need to understand some things As a lifelong fan of UM and a proud grad of MTU engineering I feel like there are some things you folks should know. While yes tech has been terrible for 20 yrs at hockey, they were dominant for basically the entire length of college hockey before that. They were the best college program in the nation in the 70s winning 3 NCs. The people that live in that part of the state and the students and alum that went to tech bleed hockey unlike anything UM can duplicate. It's equivalent to football at UM. The game atmosphere is small but it's amazing and it doesn't matter if they are 4-20-2 etc. They will build statues and rename buildings for MP at tech, not doing that at UM. You know Harbaugh mania? That's what it's like there with MP. Yes he was in A2 for a long time but maybe he just enjoyed learning under a legend. I think there's more reasons he would stay than go to UM and the only way you'll understand that is if you've lived in Houghton for more than 1 yr. -Go blue!
