Im not going anywhere near a VRBO after the stank they put on that TCU Fiesta Bowl.

Thanks Wolverista! I think…

Thanks Wolverista! I think youre right. My snap judgment after the 3rd card left me wondering because sometimes I do only get an element of the outcome (Detroit Lions readings will get weird like that). But once I started typing this out, the context of the first 2 cards made it obvious that the High Priestess was in deed a good answer. The cherry on top just confirmed it is going to be a champagne kinda night. Don't tell the haters, but I am hoping to do a deep dive reading on Harbaugh and then Juwan soon.

I have really only blown it…

I have really only blown it on the Georgia and TCU games. There have been some other weeks where I was out of town or another time I was too pissed off to even bother with other people's energy. My most common mistake is that the cards give the answer, but my interpretation is  wrong, (like the Empress giving us 45 points against TCU).

Top 3 that nailed it:

3. Bowling Green 2023 was the Tower Card game

2. MSU 2021 was the Wheel of Fortune shenanigans game

1. Michigan has a 10 of Swords defeat before they can take the B1G to court

I wouldn't keep going if I kept getting them wrong. With 78 cards there are plenty of ways to screw it up through random probability.

So you want me to be wrong?

So you want me to be wrong?

Thank YOU MGK10! It is depth…

Thank YOU MGK10! It is depth like this that allows us to see a card 4 times, but still have something to say about it. Traditionally the Magician works in Wands, Cups, Coins, and Swords together. Dali leans more into the Christian imagery bringing divine energy into our existence through the Sacrament of the Eucharist. I like that the 2 does not stay cloistered in Sainte Chappelle, but takes that energy out into the world.

Thank you, Wolverista…

Thank you, Wolverista. Synchronicities are like a wink that youre on the right path. These cards remind me of a sequel that may tell a different story but rhymes on many of the same beats that made the original a classic.

Playing with the numbers, we also have 2+3=5. Five is the number of the Hierophant of the deck, Jim Harbaugh. The Fives of all the suits represent a choice to wallow and give up or raise yourself to the next level and find greatness in overcoming adversity. Which seems more like Team 144?

Great breakdown on the…

Great breakdown on the Hanged Man. That card and the Tower tend to freak people out the most. I try to write at a 101 level so that a casual reader can pass through and see if the esoteric matches the advanced metrics and the actual game play. I would love to go deeper. I especially like the way the Hebrew ties the first 2 cards of the deck back to the escape of the Hanged Man. To me that's what gives Tarot so much more depth beyond pretty cards with stories.

And good catch with him being in the shape of SUSPENDED Coach 4.

I think we have been…

I think we have been subjected to a few extra shenanigans this game. There have been some bad calls emerging from the depths that have kept Maryland in the game longer than their play should allow. JJ was looking a little Hanged Man early as well. I didnt have time for a halftime reading but that is not a bad idea going forward.

Alejandaro Jodorowsky uses that original Marseilles deck that connected to the Tarocchini card game. Check out this funny story about the time he did a reading for Kanye West:

Youre right Moldee! The cards all season have been a bit dark but focused. Many of the 2022 readings had a variety of Sword energy with a potential for mental mistakes. This team oozes focus at every challenge and delights in conquering the other team methodically and thoroughly.

I was not familiar with that one until you mentioned it. It is really beautiful and its cool the way it ties into the comic.

That is a pretty good…

That is a pretty good interpretation of the 2 of Coins. Michigan is able to balance football excellence with lawfare excellence. Both shadow opponents are blown away by the Big Blue North Wind.

Youre right Wolverista. They…

Youre right Wolverista. They began eclipsed and in the tomb. It wasnt until the trumpet blast of the moon moving off the sun did they get their business together and start riding off to victory.

Great question! It is just a…

Great question! It is just a matter of personal preference. I look over my cards as I am getting them out and putting them away and I try to keep them upright. I also shuffle and lay them out upside down and then flip them as they are selected. However, if one were to be randomly reversed in the deck, I would go with an inverted meaning on that card.

For example, the 8 of Wands becomes about being blocked and stuck in a moment or having a bad obsession. The 4 of Swords would be wanting or needing a pause but unable to get one. The Page of Swords reversed would be big time Michigan State energy, like fighting in the tunnel, mismanaging personnel and off-field issues, and generally not showing up sober, if you show up at all.

Cheerfulness is what we…

Cheerfulness is what we needed to get beyond the Hanged Man start and to the Page of Coins victory. Different tones for different cards. I felt like this reading was right on again.

Looks like you dodged a 10 of Herpes moment. Well played!

Some are more accurate than…

Some are more accurate than others, but the only 2 that have been completely wrong have been the college football semifinal games. Something about the energy goes off the rails with that game. Not sure if it's all the casual fans assuming Michigan will win or just a New Years Eve overload of joy. The most tragic prediction was MSU in 21 which saw a shenanigans game but could not determine a winner.

You and Harbaugh the Elder…

You and Harbaugh the Elder nailed it. Loeffler came prepared! Still plenty of time for ego death and a proper resurrection in the Judgment Card.

I thought the same thing…

I thought the same thing right after I pulled the cards. Nobody would even know! But the only way to do better in the long run is to leave in the mistakes. I did do the reading in a different spot this time. So maybe that altered the MGoFlow.

Last year I got the party time 3 of Cups for the B1G Iowa game. That was way more fun!

I think of Wands as more of…

I think of Wands as more of the process. Based on comparing the farmers to the warrior in the RW deck I see the 7 as part of that process. I would optimistically say, we are not there yet.

But I agree. We did not get a strict decision but incites into the energies and FEELINGS...so many feelings...that will surround the outcome.

Thank you! There are bad…

Thank you! There are bad cards in the deck. The worst we have seen were more indicative of angst and shenanigans. You would not see this kind of positivity from a Detroit Lions spread.

Feel free to keep…

Feel free to keep mooooooving along for more worthwhile cowtent. The readings are fun and not advanced metrics or bookmaking. Will the cards get it right? Did MGoTarot read it right? The dairy allows me to post in one spot instead of texting it out to all my bulls in the barnyard. I admit the readings are a bit boring when all we do is win. You should see the LoLZ nightmare of incompetence, poverty, and despair that come from a Detroit Lions reading! However, go back and look at some of the older posts and you can see the evolution of the team towards today's 10 of Coins and The Sun cards. I will do a summary during the bowl break highlighting hits, misses, and broader themes.

The cards were right, but…

The cards were right, but the reading was slightly off. You want classic victory? That 4 down stop of Morris/Morris/Okie/Okie to end the game is as epic as the 1993 goal line stand against Penn State!

That is a great question…

That is a great question DonAZ. If you have ever played Uno with a deck shuffled by children sometimes the cards are totally lacking disorder.

My method to avoid that is to sing the fight song while shuffling. This is how I try to get a feel for the energy surrounding the game. I then lay out all the cards in a line. With my off hand, I select 3 randomly with my eyes closed. There are 78 cards in the deck. So the probability of a repeat from week to week is actually quite low starting as a 1 out of 78 shot. My results have been more accurate than a coin toss as I completely botched only 3 games last season.
