Ono being there is…

Ono being there is interesting. Encouraging donors to go the NIL route instead of trying to keep the donations in house is a big shift.

The world has largely come…

The world has largely come to a halt, and emissions are only down 5%. Your personal choices are a drop in the bucket compared to the environmental costs of electricity, heating, and certain manufacturing processes. Saving the environment is going to take a combination of regulation and ingenuity. Merely lowering the birthrate in a developed country ain't gonna cut it. It's already below replacement in most rich countries.

Mr. Cookie and I are both 40…

Mr. Cookie and I are both 40. We watch almost every game together. The kids sometimes watch and sometimes we let them watch a movie instead.

But we’re both alumni and enjoy lazing around the house watching games. If your SO doesn’t, you need to find a compromise. Encourage her to make plans with her friends. Make sure you’re prioritizing quality time when the game isn’t on. This shouldn’t be hard to figure out.

They do updates on Twitter. They do updates on Twitter.
I just donated the score of I just donated the score of my last game as a student. Adjusted for inflation.
The issue isn't that the

The issue isn't that the water isn't treated. The problem is that the water is so corrosive due to pollution that standard water treatment protocols didn't work. That's why so much lead is getting into it; it's leaching it away from the pipes.

The issue is that the river

The issue is that the river water is so polluted that it caused lead to leach from the pipes. It's highly corrosive, which also causes chlorine to be dispelled faster (potentially leading to an increase in pathogens). It's a money issue, and a cover-up issue, and an environmental issue.

Agreed. A 49ers fan told me Agreed. A 49ers fan told me that Harbaugh's teams tended to play with high emotion, translating into great performances but also the potential for dumb mistakes. "High votility" were his exact words. I'm hoping he's wrong.
When was the last time you When was the last time you saw a shareholder revolt? Voted not to grant proxy? Yes, in theory the hedge funds and institutional investors and PE guys would keep a close eye on things, but evidence shows that they generally don't care as long as stock prices are up. The incentives are based on a measurement that can, and has, been easily gamed. But all of them come from essentially the same backgrounds, with the same biases and blind spots. In addition, if they're big enough to be influential, they're also so big as to have many, many investments. And yes, compensation is usually a set by a committee or consultants who primarily look at other CEOs for comparison. No one wants to believe they've hired a mediocre leader so they're always looking at the "superstars" for their benchmarks. It's pretty naive to think that this arrangement leads to the best long term outcomes for the the companies, much less the workers.

Studies show that women get passed over for jobs during resume screens based on their names alone. Gender neutral names for girls can be an advantage if you want them to have careers in tech or other dominated fields.

Don't buy yet Rent something you can afford, save money, and learn more about the neighborhoods. You may not be in this job anymore by the time schools are an issue, and schools can change quickly over the course of 5-10 years. If you must buy now, prioritize what will improve your quality of life now (short and easy commute, job opportunities for your wife, the type of entertainment options that you enjoy) over schools. That being said, I really like Plymouth.
You all are a terrifyingly You all are a terrifyingly generous bunch. As promised, I've matched yesterday's donations. If Spencer doesn't get a tattoo, it won't be for lack of Michigan effort.
I donated! And because today I donated! And because today is my birthday, and I am myself was refugee, I will match all of today's UM donations (except my own). I'll take the difference between today and tomorrow's totals, subtract what I donated today, and donate in that amount tomorrow. Double your impact by giving today!
