I think you walked a fine line and wrote a great post.
Those upset by the post seem to fit into a couple categories
a) lack of some degree of nuance in reading (failed to understand the point you were making or mischaracterized it via oversimplification)
b) those wondering why you posted this at all
Many of the criticisms have political undertones. This is, after all, a political post, ripe with policy ramifications if taken seriously. I stop there.
I'd rather hold Frank Clark responsible for what he can control, not what he can't, at least in the courtroom of sympathy*.
Of law, sure, tee off on his wiring (but make some exceptions for control, such as insanity).
*I have no clue to what extent he could've controlled his actions here. Some will surely say "DV is always control." I think the truth is closer to "DV is almost always within control but greatly muddled by a nature vs. nurture argument and the context."
Brian noted that he's upset with those showing complete indignation and claiming moral superiority. I think what he means is something like: only a sith speaks in absolutes. I don't know fully what that means, but I think calling something/someone evil requires oversimplifying, basically.
Frank truly had a monster game against Northwestern. It's a shame to see his college career end like this.
But there are many things far more important than football.
This timely response should be applauded. I assume that, on the basis of this coming from Hoke, that the allegations have been sufficiently verified, probably by Frank himself.
I think this is a good and reasonable perspective. I also think it's the perspective that most fans and players have. I haven't really been watching Twitter closely, but usually it's the lunatics on the fringe who become upset by stuff like this.
Issue: make a few inferences, and you can tell that (1) someone stole signals from GMatt and (2) the stealing hurt the team.
A few more inferences...
GMatt's defense played Belichick. He knew about the prevalence of signal theft. Despite this, he failed to implement a proper system to prevent signal theft. As a result, signal theft hurt the team.
I don't see where he accused IU. In fact, I think he intentionally avoided accusing a specific team.
In context, I think this may be a response against MSU. Look carefully at what he said (both here and in the transcript). What tells him a team is stealing signals?--When the defense aligns properly (think RPS advantage) and the offense counters.

"He looked great in practice. He just didn't execute."

Totally unsurprising. A Gurley ACL has no place in MANBALL
I've heard they don't read anything. It baffles me.
Who dare neg WD?
I don't even read blogs, but I know who he is
TL;DR? Even the TL;DR was too TL;DR
Holgorsen for QBs coach?

I love GMatt, but this reeks of poor coaching.

I think his point is that he's not ruling out outsiders.
Implicitly, that means he's including insiders.
But I don't read blogs
I'll grant that DMFJ may have been injured. However, was he injured at the start of the game, when Smith started? Or when Hayes came in before him?
It's on the coaches
"Hoke was right about him" is not the issue. The issue is whether DMFJ being the 4th string RB (Hayes auditioned today too) was correct.
I don't think it's possible, at this point, to calculate DMFJ's talent from Indiana's ineptitude.
I've attained an exclusive preview of Brandon's resignation speech:
"I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for that meddling blog"
Hopefully he can hack it
Things are finally looking up.
The biggest roadblock is cleared
What are they going to do with all of the shirts?

I have
WD. Excellent work
I have nothing to add
I don't think
In any event,
I don't think he will have anything to add
An improvement in coaching by next year is a reasonable expectation
Justification: I don't read blogs
Conclusion: It's nonsense
Required assumption: blogs are nonsense
Entailment of required assumption: something true posted on a blog becomes nonsense
Unverified voracity.
A banner so meaningful and concise that I have nothing to add
I think you need to find a new hobby
