The Ark has six free concerts, one each Thursday/Friday/Saturday at two stages (Main/Liberty and State/SUniv).  Sorry, don't post often, can't imbed.

Our stipulation was that we would pay for the equivalent of in state tuition at the school of their choice if they had a plan.  Some of them changed their plan, but they always had an end game.  I had several classmates at UM that didn't have a plan and were only enrolled either to make their parents happy or because everyone else was going to college.

Back then college was cheap and any degree got you a job.  IMO, it's much too expensive now to just "get a degree" without having a plan how you'll use it (regardless of whom is paying for the education).  I think lots of people can benefit from taking some time to figure out their own path, but....you know....that's just my opinion man.

We considered buying a cottage up North for years and ultimately decided we didn't want to maintain two places or spend 4-6 hours driving each way, so we sold our A2 home and bought on a lake less than 30 minutes away.

There's way more lakes NW and SW of Ann Arbor than most people realize.  It's definitely a seller's market everywhere, but I think you could find something in your price point and be surprised how "up North" it can feel.

It's great to be on my boat on the lake 30 minutes after work.  Now's probably not the right time of year to ask, but it definitely was the right decision for us.

Same boat here: three accepted, two chose UM.  Really lucky to have that shared experience, although one suffered through the Rich Rod days as a student.

Reviewing the listings from the 247 transfer portal for the last three years:

Rutgers, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska, and Maryland have averaged 13-14 outbound transfers annually.

Wisconsin, Northwestern, Ohio State have averaged 4-5 outbound transfers annually.

All the other schools fall somewhere in between.

Assuming the information is accurate (which it appears to be), doesn't this seem like a problem without a head coaching change?
