I have a hotel room (2 queen beds at the Tru By Hilton across from the stadium) from 12/30-1/1.  I am no longer able to go to the game.  Feel free to email me if interested ([email protected]).  I am just looking to get back what I paid for it (~$1,000).

Chi Psi and Pike

It sounds like there will most likely be no actions taken against Chi Psi and Pike. I would not be surprised to see Sammy encourage the main culprits to step forward, though. And I imagine they will have to go through some sort of brotherhood review if they want to preserve any chance at remaining on campus / an active chapter.

Nope

They've been back on campus.

Yes

It's a Jewish fraternity.

I'm genuinely impressed...

...that Sammy was able to do $50k worth of damages. That sort of destruction takes some serious skill. But from what I've heard, Pike and Chi Psi were unfairly lumped in with Sammy's destruction. It looks like another poster in this thread has heard the same.

At any rate, a lot of the old folks in this thread need to get on off their moral high horses. Whether or not you want to believe it, pointless destruction is a relatively common element among all Michigan fraternities. Was this destruction justified in any way whatsoever? Absolutely not. Should some members of the fraternity be held accountable for their actions? Sure. Is this story being overblown? Abso-fucking-lutely.

Nope

There are 50 schools that are in the "Top 50 (technically 49, I guess). If two schools are tied at 22, then the next school will be ranked 24. That's how ties work in school rankings.

But these rankings mean next to nothing. It's the top 14 + regionals. Ultimately, you go where you have connections. If you've got connections in Washington, then you should go to Washington, not some random higher-ranked school like GW or Emory.

As for Michigan's ranking, I'm surprised they didn't fall a tad more.
