My first thoughts were…

My first thoughts were Sainristil for covering slot receivers, Zinter as a solid rotational interior lineman, and Barner to line up opposite LaPorta. , and maybe Nugent as a replacement for Ragnow down the road, but Ragnow will be hard to replace no matter who the Lions get.

Always wondered about the…

Always wondered about the origin of the expression 'Rule of thumb'. Much more intriguing than I ever would have guessed. Thank you for clearing that up.

And yeah, this is not simply explained away by malfeasance. Never one to cry 'picking on me' when dealing with issues, but after what we've seen over the years from the NCAA and how their 'governance' is applied and to whom, there is little doubt in my mind that it is selective and they make little effort to hide it. From the 'excessive workouts' to the 'cheeseburgers' to what some gleefully termed the 'sign-stealing scandal', it also really opened my own naive eyes as to how petty and revenge driven the teams in our conference are for getting their asses kicked by us over the years. It must be pretty miserable in their worlds.

These guys are a joy to watch. Lots of energy, smart passing, good goaltending and puck skills. After this long playoff drought, these guys look great...even on the road. DeBrincat and J.T. Compher were both excellent pick ups, or seem to be so far, and if DeBrincat and Kane can rediscover even some of their old chemistry, this offense could get even scarier. Larkin playing his usual tough hockey despite he and his wife losing their unborn baby recently. This team wasn't expected to arrive until possibly next season, so that makes this run all the more enjoyable.

This. After Day insisting…

This. After Day insisting they knew we were 'sign stealing' last year before The Game, and if so,  apparently still didn't change their calls or go to wristbands with plays on them. I think it's too much for them to accept that their team could only lose if 'cheating' was involved. These crybabies seem to have no shortage of excuses. If they watched the game the last two years, it was apparent we out-played, out-schemed, and, especially out-hit them. For this 'scorched earth' policy OSU has assumed toward Michigan after failing to do it on the field, if only this reason alone, they must be beaten mercilessly this year (although I suspect a one-point victory would be enough to leave Day staring out the bus window on the long ride back to Columbus, pondering what his future may hold).

Tom Harmon

The movie "Harmon of Michigan" (1941) is on GETTV for those with DISH who might be interested. Comes on at 6:20 ET. Oh yeah, Tom Harmon (Ol' 98) stars, playing the part of...himself. And for those wondering, no plans for a movie titled "Pryor of Ohio State" are in the works.

Agree

Wish someone could attend every D'Antonio press conference just to bring up the word "Michigan" so we can see that agonized look on his face. Funny, irritating, and pretty damn telling. Hard pressed to think of one coach who has such an emotional trigger at the mere mention of their chief rival's name.

Isaac

Don't know why, but I'd sure like to see Isaac get a carry or two to see if his fresh legs have some burst.
