The Northwestern campus lots are open about a mile away from the stadium and are free during the weekends (http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/nw/genrel/auto_pdf/2013-14/misc_non…). There is a shuttle, or you could walk. Most of the closer parking (of which there is not much) is for season ticket holders only, so this is where most of the away fans park. There is where I will be with a group Saturday. As others have said, none of the bars are that special (prohibition started here, so not exactly a history of drinking in Evanston).
That columnist clearly looks like an old, crusty sportswriter who is putting a square peg into a round hole. Hoke may run more "pro-style" - but this has clearly been overblown
Thought was too much about this and think he is the perfect hire
Why I think he would be interested ...
-Has said he wants to get back into coaching at some point and still watches a ton of film
-Has already been sucessful in the NFL - doesn't need to prove himself (a la Carroll)
-Likes complete control (which he could get in college)
-Has midwest ties
-Has new buddy Mike Tirico to show him around Ann Arbor (ok - this is a stretch - but still)
Why it would work ...
-Only a year older than Harbaugh
-Would immediately have cache with any top recruit
-Apparently loved by players at Senior Bowl in past and likes helping out at local high school
-Supposedly learning new spread offenses and could experiment with Denard
DId he really say that? Both his son and dad have mentioned in interviews that he is coming back to coaching in the next couple years - but that's obviously doesn't mean he is coming here
Other than casual mentions he has not really been brought up. Likely will wait for the right NFL job within the next year or two, but I think he would be a grand slam.

I'm having issues on PocketCasts
I've heard he would never leave for another college job.
What ever happened to your previous visions about starting a USMNT blog? Don't know about others - but I would read it.

That's amazing - great find

Is underrated (and he owns USC) but I just don't see DB being interested
Sorry - meant to say unlike Carroll - Carroll wanted to back to the NFL to prove that he could win there. Gruden doesn't have to do that.
Oh - it's a longshot - trying not to get my hopes up. Just saying it's worth a phone call. That is all.

Just think about it ...
The end of the Tennessee game this year was almost as scary as our kicking game
For sure - desperate times call for desperate measures
Maybe the werewolves are the station's sources?

when Michigan gets Les and then blows a game in the last minute by trying to run 9 new guys on the field?
If he was he would be here already - I've finally gotten to the 12th stage of grief - and you guys should too
Anyone with me? Think his act would work really well in college and he would adapt to use Denard's skills.
