Both of my sons attended Michigan Hockey Camp at Yost. They both had coaches front the men’s team and from the women’s club team. Both groups were fantastic, happy to support the women’s team. Go Blue in everything.

At that age group, the best advice I can give you is to coach the kids to form a diamond shape and keep it. The player at the point of the diamond is offensive minded, stays “high” when you’re on defense. That way he/she can get a break out. The two in the middle stay wide, and have to cover both offense and defense, and the one in back being defensive minded, staying towards midfield when your team is in the offensive zone. Oh, and all the other stuff about wearing a suit and it’s all about you and the kids are your pawns.
Avon is much further south than kill devil hills. You will have plenty to do in that area. Do journey north to Duck and eat at the Village Tavern - get a reservation. With a 2.5 year old go to see kitty hawk and the dunes. You definitely want an umbrella/shade on the beach in OBX. Wide long beaches, but sunny. Mac Bros. Are worth it. Happy to give you some more information on OBX if you want - been many times. We live in northern virginia (Arlington) and have been to OBX several times.
1. Traffic is horrible on Saturdays. If driving, book a room Friday night in Williamsburg, VA. Got to a pancake house Saturday (can't really go wrong, Yelp is your friend) early, then head to Outer Banks. You will get in before your rental is ready, but you will beat the traffic and you will be happy about it. If on the north end (Corolla) head to the lighthouse and park. If in Duck, hang out in Duck, if further South (Kill Devil Hills/Nagshead) enjoy putt-putt or many other activities.
2. Definitely worth paying a service to set up tent/chairs/cooler on the beach each day so you don't have to lug everything there and back. Mac Brothers are great. Pricey but worth it.
3. Northstar Bakery north end of Corolla.
4. Original Duck Donuts in Duck, get there early.
5. Village Tavern in Duck - fantastic restaurant. Also the tubing/skiing/jet ski rental place underneath Villager Tavern is a great time.
6. Take the kids to Kitty Hawk National Park, very cool.
7. Hike the sand dunes Jockey's Ridge State Park
8. Deep sea fishing out of Wanchese, plenty of providers
I loved Mark May, just great. Despise Lou Holtz, doesn't even realize he's a shallow caricature of a cliche. And Joey Galloway, find myself agreeing with him many times, but his osu homerism is always on display. Glad MI was 3-1 against osu in my era - and Joey had a losing record against us later in the early 90's.
The only reason they were good was we were terrible and RichRod failed to recruit in MI, leaving it all to MSU. They are only good when we're at a 50 year low.
wow, osu gave up 10 min ago. Now a pick 6. Arrogance of osu. We should make sure to take no game for granted. Urban deserves what he’s getting. Looking forward to him retiring for “health,” reasons.

Been going to Caps games ever since I've been here - it's hard to convey just how much this win means to folks here. The city is ebullient. Great to see Ovi, Backstrom and the Caps get the Stanley Cup - really good for this area. It did suck to get up at 5 am to get my son to hockey though...
Welcome to reality, its brutal, I just got here myself. Fire Hoke and Brandon, now, it matters not the season is over and everyone knows Brandon will have to fire Brady this season. Get a real AD, not a marketing CEO and get a real coach, not just a nice guy.
We have better football talent at almost every position than Utah and we lost terribly. Hoke may know more about college football than 99.9%, but he can't convert that knowledge into victory. He must go.
Absolutely my man, you are right. We need to hire the best coach. The Michigan Man thing lost its meaning with our record and don't give me any of that support the kids BS, of course we do, this is about management (coaching and AD). It's a terrible reality, but we will have to lose our 100K attendance string before Brandon goes. I know we won't fire Brady right now, but he has to be a dead man walking, it's over. Just a question of whether Brandon goes with him. If we must have the Michigan Man thing, then it's a Harbough or Miles. Otherwise, get the best fucking coah.
