Where to purchase BluRay, or DVD, U-M games

Submitted by Harbaugh2Kolesar on

I'm trying to find a good copy of the 2004 U-M vs msu game.  There's a rip on Youtube, but it's terrible quality.  ABC ran the game.

Is there any source to get good quality copies of regular season games?

Thanks!

I actually own the DVD of that game. I bought it years ago from M Den. I also have the 2006 PSU/UM game disc.

http://vuolovideo.com/u-m-football/ Art Vuolo is the man you seek. He dubs the radio broadcast audio over the television picture broadcast. He stuff is fantastic and he has every thing you could want in his collection. He's been doing every game forever, with Michigan's blessing. When Harbaugh was hired he's the guy Michigan came to put together a retrospective.

I hate to say this, since I love Brandy as a host, commentator, and Michigan Man, but radio audio over video for the last two years would not be something I would want.

I know he has worked at it and I know he has improved, and I was ready to give him a chance despite all the griping on the board. After all, sometimes people are just wrong but made up their minds too early and won't change.

But I was traveling during a game and listened to Brandy's call for the entire event. And it was arduous. He doesn't use his voice particularly well, his rhythm is only ok, and he had to have missed at least 10 yardage calls. Like, flat got the wrong yardline. That's murder on the radio when you're actually invested in what is happening. Too many times he got backed up on a playcall and had to catch up to describe (poorly) what happened.

He was/is a good color man and I loved him when I watched Michigan Replay. And I love having Dierdorf in the booth. But I don't want to listen to the radio broadcasts unless I have to, and that is disappointing.

There are a couple of UM games available on Amazon. From what I can tell a lot of them look like games that were losses. Oklahoma, BYU, a couple of Bo Rose Bowl games, most of which were losses.

MDen did indeed sell this one for a while, but it was essentially the scoreboard video feed with no clock or on-screen graphics, and the radio feed just slightly off from the video action. Better than nothing, if you can still find it? They may still have it.

I was wondering the same thing about this year's basketball games against Oklahoma State and Louisville in the tournament. Can't find them on YouTube. I have them saved on my DVR but that's obviously not a permanent solution. I'm not very tech savvy but if someone knows how I can save them off the DVR onto a flash drive or my PC I'd gladly upload them to YouTube for others.
