Start of football with Staee on Friday has the juices flowing. Labatt my friend. Great band on Letterman tonight, The Glorious Dead. Combo of James Brown and Sly and the Family sound. Never heard of them before. I hope I remember the game Saturday. Another beer? Yes, thank you. Saturday can not come fast enough. Came back to edit. I wrote Satyrday. Instead of bobblehead the Yanks are going to have Satyr Day for A Rod.

I'll be at home here in Tallahassee watching the FSU game until the REAL game comes on. I'll be watching with my son and a buddy, unless he goes to the FSU game. Either way I'll be drinking ice cold beer, running around in circles, and probably alternating between shouting obscenities and words of encouragement at my TV.

Taking the wife & son to the range, I'll be sooting my rifle to get ready for deer season & the wife will be shooting the 9mm getting reay for the CWP class. Son will work on his rifle. Then we'll hit the Chauga River and see if we can't catch some trout to throw on the grill before the game. Thinking I'll throw some As on the targets, or maye Saban's face.

Saturday will essentially be a "football with brief breaks for easily managable chores" day at my house. Both kids are in various stages of whatever stomach bug is fashionable, so the day will likely be interspersed with tending to them, but fortunately they enjoy watching football, so we can all lay around in the family and celebrate the return of football as a family. I'll probably get up for Navy / ND, then switch to Ohio / Penn State and then alternate between some of the 3:30 PM games before grilling the steaks now marinating in the fridge and rolling into our game. After our game, more football.

Living in Shanghai has some serious positives but also some negatives. Our slingbox failed about a week ago and we don't have a fix yet. The slingbox was specifically purchased for college football season.
So the plan is to sleep all Saturday since we are 12 hours ahead. Wifey will take care of the kids. Wake up around midnight and start drinking. There are a few games on the Australian Sports Network that I can watch. Either going to another family's house to hang out for breakfast and football or going to one of the local sports bars to catch the only game I care about.
