My son is getting his first taste of Maction this year. He’s thrilled that there is football on mid-week. Next week he will be watching WMU@CMU in person for his birthday :)

That game used to be wild. When I was growing up outside of Mt. Pleasant, my parents wouldn't let me go close to campus on Western Weekend.

Went to Beal City. Super small town that no one's heard of. One flashing stop light. Two bars across the road from each other.

My dad took me ice fishing on Lake Isabella. Spent lots of time in Rosebush at the White Wagon as well. I remember hearing about Beal City, pretty sure I’ve not been there.

Anyone that follows high school football in the state knows of Beal City. We played you in the 2012 State Finals, lately you've been beating our rivals in the semi-finals by one point constantly.

Yeah, when I was playing we had the record for most playoff appearances. Not sure if that's still the case, but my old friend from high school is the coach and it seems like he has them rolling again. I try to keep up with them as much as possible.

Yep, Harbor Beach.
I believe Beal City does still lead the state in playoff appearances. New coach seems to have them playing as a state power again after a tricky situation.
They did just go down to Fowler on a last second TD and 2pt conversion to end their season last week in the District Finals though.

I've been through Beal City hundreds of times growing up. My parents had 120 acres west of Mt Pleasant for hunting. Plenty of golf at the Isabella Country Club...

Lots of good hunting out there. My uncle has a hunting camp out there about half-way between Mt. Pleasant and Remus.
Well shit. I take back what I said about no one hearing of it. My freshman year of college everyone always said "where?", so I just got used to saying "outside of Mt. Pleasant". 🤷♂️
