Wagner brothers build 16 point lead over Team USA but fall short
Franz and Mo led Team Germany in scoring as Germany put on a pick & roll show but give up lead with 4 minutes left in game. Entertaining game to watch.

I turned it on with the score tied at 86. Apparently, the US had scored 9 straight to tie the game and then the next 7. Franz looked huge and played really well except when teammates were throwing 5 foot rocket passes at his head.

I agree on how big Franz looked, I saw two Magic games live this year and watch quite a few of their games and he looked much stronger since season ended.

In the last quarter, from 6:50 remaining to 0:50 remaining, US went on an 18-0 run.

Good stuff. Franz in particular looked really strong out there driving play. And I know it's just highlights but Ben Carter's backup (JJJ) looked really good defensively as well. Sort of surprised Tom Izzo didn't see that type of offensive and defensive potential while he was at MSU.

I’m a biased grizzlies fan, but Jaren is so damn talented. He’s come so far as a player in growing both physically and in skills, and is bordering on a 20/7 guy with all universe defense. If he can get more consistent with his scoring this season, he could get some (extremely slight) MVP consideration.

Franz and Mo balling out but the USA winning seems like the ideal outcome! It was a good showcase with a national broadcast on Fox commentated by Jason Benetti and Bill Raftery. I believe this was the final tuneup before the World Cup starts this weekend, with the USA's first game against New Zealand being on Saturday.

Looked like Mo would avenge that natty loss to Brunson, but instead Haliburton got revenge on Franz for that Iowa State game.

Iowa State being the game that mattered most bc Michigan won the trident.
