UM playbook in NCAA '09
If you were wondering what the playbook is, here you go:
They run the 4-3 D and have their own “Michigan” offensive playbook, with a lot of Shotgun stuff, and the rest is Ace and I-Form. It seems that there’s a bit of Rich-Rodesque plays, but it’s not overdone. There are about 6 or 7 different Shotty formations, including a couple spreads, a 5-wide, double backfield, and a trips; and most of the option stuff is out of the shotgun.
They'll definitely be my dynasty team this year. Where'd you get your hands on the game early? I've been looking, unsuccessfully, for some schmoe from Wal-Mart to sell it to me early.
How have they done with the players? How are Feagin, McGuffie, etc.?
I just asked the right people.
Just so you know, the starting QB will be wearing #15
Ahh, I guess I should have thought that might be a possibility. I'm still trying to find someone at Wal-Mart to sell it to me. Apparently there are opportunities out there to get the game early if you can find the right person.
and far between, my friend.
I actually heard UPS workers were getting fired for stealing SINGLE copies of GTA IV.
What's #15 all about? Is this like the fact that Arrington was left out of the lineup last year? Of course, Mallet transferred to Arkansas long ago. Or, is it not supposed to be Mallet?
Just what I've been told.
will be a 3-4 d against spread teams and multi reciever sets.. 3-4 okie to be exact
at least you better still be able to run the 3-4... cuz thats what shaffer is going to do against the spread..
Where does Taylor play in a 3-4? Is he really big enough to play nose in that scheme?
yeah he would make a great nose in the 3-4... remember the best nose guard in michigan history renese wasnt that big.... but he could also play end in the 3-4... its really a tackle position
will he not be asked to play two gap if they're in a 3-4?
Definitely will be my starter from day one unless passing is ridiculous easy (like last year's version). I don't think I've ever ran a spread option consistently in NCAA and I'm looking forward to it.
Also, I think about this game too much.
was in regard to the default playbook.
EA just posted all the playbooks from NCAA Football 09 online. It's located here.
ign posted video of ncaa 2009 yesterday of michigan vs msu. #15 was the number of the qb in the game. looked a lot like mallett, but he didn't fumble on 2 of the 3 snaps. couldn't be him.
UM vs MSU rivalry
#15 is Threet (ea just didn't change the number) - I've seen screenshots some of the ratings - he is like an 82 or something. Feagin is around a 65.
As you requested a peak at in the other NCAA playbook thread:

It's Threet, they just spaced changing the number
OK - I haven't played since the '07 version and very little at that because, well, I suck at video games.
Be that as it may, I'm curious how many of you just f*ck with Ohio State's lineup and just make them a team you can crush again and again?
How many "play them" straight up?
I admit, I always create a QB that is just freakishly good for M and mess with the OSU lineup so I can see M win again and again...
Watch, one day they're gonna make the game REAL and make that an NCAA violation so your next season sucks plus forfeits, etc.
On some of the older versions you could mess with lineups on any team and save them. I don't know about the newer versions. I always made a 7" QB that had the body of a tank with like 99% passing, running, accuracy, stamina, speed., etc. Kind of looked like Jared Lorenzen only taller, and with talent. LOL! I never played the whole deal with recruiting, etc. I am not sure you can still do this on the new versions.
