Scout - Are we getting Travante Stallworth?
Scout story says he is choosing soon. BUT, the story is not the top story, which usually means we aren't going to land said recruit.
I'm sure we are in the top 3 or whatever for him, but what are our chances? I really liked this kid after reading his interview, and another option to try QB is always welcome...

now slow playing Stallworth presumably because of increased optimism over Willie Haulstead and Je'Ron Stokes.

but wouldn't we take all 3 if we could get them? WR are pretty versatile and could play elsewhere if needed. Plus, the aforementioned shot at QB is always nice.

how Scout is ranking and grouping their optimism on our remaining targets.
January 25th, 2009 at 3:24 PM ^
Who do they think are our most and least optimistic targets?
January 25th, 2009 at 5:09 PM ^
Stokes
Haulstead
Robinson
Witty
least:
Hall
Dantin
Mitchell
DQJ is the highest of the "less optimistic" group while Montgomery is the lowest of that same group.

We're done recruiting. We plan on signing a full class of 18 recruits, as Jones and Graves are no longer in the fold. We didn't want to end up over-recruiting like UNC.
Oh, and I forgot to adjust my sarcasm meter. That's what happens when you're cleaning up dog vomit all day.

I'm not sure what this added to the discussion, if anything.

I bring nothing to the table. I'm just pissed from cleaning up dog vomit all day. My apologies.

Good luck with the puke, yo.

I've cleaned it up seven different times. On another note, I hope we get Stallworth too.

At least your dog doesn't have I Be Shittin Syndrome...
I like that Stallworth kid too... seems like a stand up individual from the interview.

he's dangerously close to a growth spurt. Rumor is RR is terrified that this might happen (he could potentially balloon to 5'9½" and 163 pounds) so we've cooled on him. GBW quoted RR as saying "he's not the same guy we fell in love with during Pop Warner. I don't like the direction puberty is taking him."
January 25th, 2009 at 4:53 PM ^
that we're backing off at this point. RR was just in for an inhouse visit last week....plus with about 10 days left i'm sure we are making the final push for all our recruits because the reality is not one of these have made it clearly known they are comin here...so i would hate to see us backing off guys

Yea, I was going to say the same thing. We're not "slow playing" him, when there's only a week left, that doesn't make sense. I talk to him a lot, and Michigan is definitely still in it.
January 25th, 2009 at 10:03 PM ^
but I was relaying the Scout.com take this morning, based on what happened with the various visits this weekend.

I'm a little girl for TomVH posts (No Homo).
January 25th, 2009 at 9:10 PM ^
Statutory rape is a crime and we don't need TomVH in jail right now.
January 25th, 2009 at 9:27 PM ^
I was thinking the same thing!
TomVH, your posts bring grown men to their knees! (No Homo.)
(Side note: I think TomVH posts yield almost as many "No Homo" moments than Timothy Tebow at a Joel Osteen convention.)

I should wait 'til after National Signing Day is over to profess such things?

a multi-year sentence could fuck us with 2010 and on recruiting data.
