More so than most things you measure coaching by. They call the plays and the defenses and this puts a number on that, though it's arbitrary, I trust the source enough to put weight in it.

.... have coded the basics to scrape down the UFR data and make some quick interactive plots for doing some basic analysis of old UFR data. Just need to get around to completing it. Maybe this week will give me the motivation to attack it with a certain high level of enthusiasm....

Without doing the math I'll go out on a limb and predict that RichRod's defensive RPS totals will be really, really bad, while Hoke's offensive RPS will also be really, really bad. Harbaugh on the other hand is good at both (plus STs!).

I'm going to guess Harbaugh is tops in both, followed by RR on offense and Hoke on defense. The other two parts of the former coaches' games come up the rear. Plus, if memory serves me right Brian didn't go into nearly as much RPS detail under RR.
