RPS +/- Analysis Request

Submitted by Nate the Newt on

I'm wondering if someone has the skills to calculate RPS +/- averages for RR, Hoke, and Harbaugh based on old UFRs?  Offense, defense, combined total?  I think it'd give some objective data on the coaching difference we're all trying to explain.

.... have coded the basics to scrape down the UFR data and make some quick interactive plots for doing some basic analysis of old UFR data. Just need to get around to completing it. Maybe this week will give me the motivation to attack it with a certain high level of enthusiasm....

Without doing the math I'll go out on a limb and predict that RichRod's defensive RPS totals will be really, really bad, while Hoke's offensive RPS will also be really, really bad.  Harbaugh on the other hand is good at both (plus STs!).

I'm going to guess Harbaugh is tops in both, followed by RR on offense and Hoke on defense.  The other two parts of the former coaches' games come up the rear.  Plus, if memory serves me right Brian didn't go into nearly as much RPS detail under RR.
