OT-WrestleMania 25

I know there are people here who still occasionally watch wrestling (Dex, i think, does)...but I was wondering if there were any other casual or fanatic wraslin fans excited for Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker this Sunday. I'm thinking of going to Bdubbs just to witness this epic match.

One of my friends opined that the opponent in the Undertaker match no longer adds anything to the venue because WWE will never tarnish his undefeated WM record and the match is simply too predictable for emotional investment. I, however, disagree completely--yes, he's going to beat Shawn Michaels, but these are arguably (for my money, anyway) the greatest and second-greatest professional wrestlers in history. They are also both nearing retirement and this could be their last WrestleMania; if not, it is certainly their last WrestleMania match against each other. The technical ability will be off the charts on Sunday and I, for one, cannot wait. I have always had an unhealthy love for The Undertaker; when I learned we shared a birthday (March 24th) I was convinced we were kindred spirits. Then I turned 12...but I'm still convinced. Also, when you say you're going to watch it at BDubs, do you mean the one in Ann Arbor? Because I'll definitely be there.

Or else I'd love to find you and watch potentially one of the greatest icon vs icon matches of all-time. I don't care what anyone says, I still enjoy and am a sucker for big names like this. I think this will be an amazing match. It was also the most promoted match on the card and they did a GREAT job putting Undertakers streak in doubt in the back of the mind.

...at a closed circuit broadcast at a hockey rink in the western 'burbs outside of Chicago. Also saw III at the Silverdome. My seats were really close to the TV cameras, so whenever I watch the video it is really close to just like being there again. CUBS AC at Colonial Lanes used to run all the PPV's: most of the staff used to be into it. For anyone up in Ann Arbor, it might be a good place to try if you don't want to pay whatever the ransom for PPV's is now. I saw a good analysis of this match. It said that Undertaker has a lot more to lose by losing at WM because "the streak" is his main gimmick now. On the other hand, Michaels has a losing record at WM and is still "The Showstopper." So, as you posted, the Undertaker is a lock. The only other lock is Triple H, because the face almost always wins the last match at WM so the fans go home happy. There have only been two WM's where this didn't happen. But there will be surprises in that match because of the involvement of the McMahon family. And for those of you who follow wrestling: did you ever think you would see a WM match where the McMahons were all faces? I will admit that I never saw this coming until they were well into the angle. Ironically enough, I would put Triple H and Vince McMahon on my top five list of all-time WWF/WWE heels, and both are faces for this show.

Or if you're afraid of Cubs AC because the waitresses might have 1 combined full set of teeth, BDubb's, AKA BW's, AKA Buffalo Wild Wings shows all WWF Pay-per-views. I don't care what anyone says, some of my greatest drunken High School memories were watching Wrestlemania.

I guess I'll give my predictions based one what I think the writers will make happen: 25 Diva Battle Royal: I hope they put Santino in this match, I really do. He is comedic gold. My prediction is that Trish returns and wins the title of Miss WrestleMania. Tag Unification: Miz and Morrison over Primo and Carlito. It's a shame Miz and Morrison weren't around to work with the Outlaws, Dudley Boyz, Hardy Boyz, or Edge and Christian in the 90s. Intercontinental Title: JBL over Mysterio. Booking 101 says the person who looked strongest on the final tv hype will lose. Money in the Bank: I'd like to see MVP win this match. I think he has what it takes to be the next big star. Christian winning would be acceptable to me. Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy: This fued has been a let down to me. That being said, Jeff has to go over here. He is the bigger star. Undertaker vs HBK: This will be the main event in most people's minds. Undertaker will go over, but the Showstopper will steal the show once again. This will be the best match of the night and is possibly the biggest WrestleMania match to some fans since The Rock vs Stone Cold 8 years ago. WWE Championship: Orton goes over Triple H here. This match will not be slotted in the main event because they likely don't want the crowd going home upset. World HWT Championship: I think Cena might come out on top here, but I honestly could see all 3 contestants winning. The fans wouldn't be as upset over Edge or Big Show winning as they would be leaving after Orton is victorious though.
