They're playing down road from me, had no idea. Way to promote, Raymond James. Too hot and humid anyways, although the late start will help.
¡Viva USA!
I'll go with another 2-0 match.
Would love to see more than 60% posession this game.
Early prediction: 3-1 USA
2-1
Altidore and Donovan score early. Howard plays well but the D let's one in that Howard has no chance to stop.
Do you guys like them?? I know they are young but I think by the next world cup they will be a good back two. Never really liked Onyewu
I hope they continue to develop well -- very promising so far. Onyewu, God bless him, was just not that good, and he won't ever get back to his form, I hate to say. He got schooled in the 2006 WC against the Czech Republic, and then he's been injured a lot.
They have been playing well together. I wouldn't mind bocanegra moving inside to give lichaj a shot at lb.
They're good passers out of the back and calm on the ball. I'd like to see some more depth develop like Gonzalez and Agbossoumonde(sp?), but they have a chance to be a decent first choice pairing.
This was of course until Goodson scored the own goal.
Didn't know about CONCACAF TV until I saw your link. My life is better now, thanks :-D
So apparently the secret ingredient in Mexican salsa is clenbuterol.
Could be the meat! Wheres the BEEF? I seriously doubt tthat the players were abusing clenbuterol, there are a lot of more effective drugs on and off the ban list if you are interested in becoming an asterisk/rich football player.
...first place in Group C with a win vs. Panama based on Canada's 1-0 win over Guadaloupe.
Juan will score along with Donovan on a PK and Goodson on a header off corner. 3-0 or 3-1 US. Expect to see a great game from our midfield tonight.
He may let you down occasionally on defense, but that goal is one of the main reasons you play him. Called it.
i have a hard time getting into soccer unless its world cup or olympics, then I watch every game I can.
If the US and Mexico meet in the final (Gold Cup: the Caribbean, Cenral, and North American Championship) you will get just as excited, guranteed.
WTF. Got a free kick on a really bad call then scored - damn it
That was yakety Sax defending if I've ever seen it. F""""""""""ck!
Harsh yellows for the US. We didn't do anything as bad as hip-checking someone.
The reffing is incredibly bad in this one, Panama should be getting yellow carded into the stone age with the way they're playing. Still can't figure out why Altidore got yellow-carded.
We're getting opportunities against Panama, but just aren't converting, I'm getting nervous that the U.S. is going to get frustrated and start pressing too much.
Panama 2- U.S. 0
Ream caused one of the most bone-headed penalties I have ever seen. U.S. is playing about as bad as they ever have and Panama is playing rough and now packing ten men behind the ball and Panama's goal keeper is hot, this one's over.
Oh, goody the goalie's making more of his injury than he needs to. Why do so many soccer players do this? and why don't players do something along the lines of you like acting? I'll give you something to act about!
5 minutes in the 1st half. U.S. looks like complete shit.
Very disjointed. Yikes. That attempted (failed) pass by Dempsey to Altidore is representative in my view.
Donovan looks pretty bad to me.
So they can be physical on Jozy, but he can't push back? Sheesh.
awful. No brights spots anywhere on the field. That is one avid crowd, and they are pissed.
I dont hate many people. But I really, really, REEEAAALLLY hate Bob Bradley.
I hate this vampire looking ref more than BB.
I told my buddy before I saw this that Dracula is giving out cards too easily
Only one way though
Ream and Goodson are just not good enough defenders for international football. I can't think of a set of strikers that would not threaten them.
...except for Buddle + Findley.
I just don't see where the improvement is coming from for the US as we move toward the next World Cup. They look absolutely f'ing miserable tonight.
Stuey Holden, Timmy Chandler, Mix Diskeruud. Thats your improvement. And a new coach after we bomb out of the gold cup.
exciting close to the game.
Kick the ball and get tripped by the goalie and that's a yellow? WTF is going on with this red?
He's apparently decided he's not letting the U.S. have a chance. Which is fine, they don't deserve one playing like this. I'm checking out, what an awful game.
Didn't really see contact on the replay.
And we've scored, so don't give up yet.
Goooooooooaaaaaaaaaal. Now 2-1, 22 minutes left
72nd minute - worst corner ever
5-yd FG.
4 minutes stoppage time seems like a lot. Still down 1
Well that was a waste of time. Hope they pull their heads out and that Panama can get a result against Canada. If not, first round exit from our own GD tournamnet and won't that be embarassing. Great play in the last ten minutes. Would have been nice to do it all game.
That was embarrassing. No one today deserved to wear the colors. The shoulder check at the end by Bocanegra was absolutely classless.
Im so sick of our flat, boring play and Im sick of Bob Bradley.
Bocanegra was frustrated and he damn well should have been. Between this and the Spain game I haven't felt much pride in the team lately(going to the game in Detroit was a brief moment of happiness). I like Bradley, but in a tournament this important to lay an egg like that is almost unforgiveable. If the U.S. has another game even remotely like this in the tournament, some questions about his job security neede to be asked.
Wondolowski had a chance of a lifetime.
I still don't understand how it was even possible to miss that. On the bright side Bedoya looked pretty decent.
He should get another one, Striker depth isn't good and a mistake like that hopefully won't destroy his international career, I'm frustrated but I'm not pinning the game on him. The team deserved to lose, missing that sitter was just karma talking.
I don't know all that much about soccer but to me Jones is not very impressive, can someone more knowledgeable give me there take on him because I can't understand why Edu doesn't start over him. To me it looks like his passes don't connect and he commits to many fouls because he is out of position but again I am rather new to watching soccer so maybe I am way off?
