OT: Sling TV - No MNF

First time starting a new topic so be nice.

So I am a cable cutter for 5 months now and I wanted to see what Sling TV was all about. Sling TV is an internet based live TV option which includes ESPN and ESPN2 and about a dozen other channels including broadcast for $20/month. It turns out that Monday Night Football is indeed blacked out from Sling TV and I was redirected to World Series of Poker.

So I am not surprised about this, but I see it as another data point in how ESPN and cable companies are dealing with cord cutters. It also provides an interesting perspective on how far that $20/mo actually goes. And the NFL sucks.

I'm actually talking about sharing credentials for anything that connects through your internet service. Everything will be linked back to your modem for authorization and matching credentials to your account. At least at home. Not sure how that will play out with mobile

Well Comcast and AT&T have both already switched to that to make customers' lives easier when authorizing devices.

To watch ESPN as a Sling subscriber you install the WatchESPN on your Roku. Then open up the WatchESPN app, authorize it with your Sling login via the instructions and pick what stream (from numerous options) you want to watch. I am a Sling subscriber and do not use Sling to watch ESPN because it is garbage. The ESPN app is 100000000% superior.
