OT: Ocarina of Time on Wii
So I have a little outpatient surgery tomorrow and I thought since I'm going to be down and out of work for a few days I needed something to keep my mind occupied and off of the pain. Yes the Narcotics will help but I thought Ocarina of time on the Wii would do the trick.
Should I go with the game cube controller or the N64 controller? I was told either will work but which is better?
What a trip that would be.
I've been playing it with my old GC controller (don't have a 64) and it's worked just fine. Having used both in the past, I don't think there's any inherent advantage, unless you have a GC wireless controller like I do, that's a big plus.
After all the OOT talk a few weeks back, I decided to play the Master Quest disc I got when I bought Windwaker (but had never gotten around to playing before). I figured I'd just use my Wii and used my old GC wireless controller.
It works pretty well, no real difference that I can remember from the N64 controller. I think it's actually smoother to use the C joystick to play the notes on the ocarina instead of the buttons on the 64 controller.
I did notice that I can't select the rumble feature, and I'm not sure if that's a limitation of my wireless GC controller, or if it would work with a N64 controller with the rumble pack. That hasn't really detracted from my enjoyment of playing the game, though.

The Wavebird doesn't have the rumble feature, if I'm remembering that correctly
Has anyone tried using the classic controller for the Wii to play Ocarina (or other N64 games)? Just wondering since I no longer have my old N64 and was thinking about downloading Sin and Punishment before the sequel came out as well.
N64 wont work but GM will. I used the classic to beat Ocarina on Wii, and it was harder in my opinion because you have to set things to the directional d pad instead of the yellow buttons on the 64. Still the best game ever so who really cares if you get to play it anyway.
Narcotics plus video games is so fantastic. I had the joy of blowing one of my balls out when Mass Effect was released. Vicodin plus chasing a piece of alien ass = worth it.
Good luck with the surgery.
