OT: Jack Johnson in court with parents re: bankruptcy
Who would ever think that your own parents could do this to you? His parents are refusing to leave the AA home Jack purchased as he wants to sell it to pay off debts.

I believe that now that his parents have gotten done with him, he's no longer a millionaire.

What's the paraphrase? Family is who will take you in when no one else will. Friends may come and go but your parents are special. To think they did this to their son...someone who trusted them with his future? His relationship with them?
Stunning.

He signed the papers when he was 19. If you can't trust your parents (or whomever raised you) at 19 years old, then you had a fucked-up childhood (note: this is not a potshot at people who have had fucked up childhoods). Jack Johnson did not have a fucked-up childhood.

Johnson's parents did (and continue to do) something horrible.
What exactly did Jack himself do that was so bad? That is deserving of "blame?" I'm sure you knew everything about everything at 19, hoss.

His parents borrowed 15 million against his future earnings in addition to other extremely high risk investments. They also conned the grandfather out of ownership of his condo and used it as collateral.
