Game 4 on. Setoguchi did a slewfoot on Bertuzzi, no call, Bertuzzi went after him and shoved him, jawing back and forth when they got to their benches.
Wings going hard to the net, Niemi misplayed the puck behind the net but scrambled to keep it out.
So it's the 3rd line that's been not great?

Well, lines can change, plus sometimes an extra center is on just to take a faceoff, then change.
Hudler did have that big defensive lapse this game, but overall he hasn't done too badly. I think it was last game Ken & Mickey both mentioned he was playing well. Just a lot of other Red Wings haven't been doing enough.
Abdelkader has been a little careless with the stick.
I'm outside DC so i'm cursed with the inept Versus broadcast and I don't get that precious analysis from the Detroit guys. It just seems like the bottom 2 lines play well for the most part and then have a major brainfart that leads to a goal. If they avoided the occasional dumb penalty like tonight, maybe it was a different series, maybe not. Doesn't matter much now.
I hope the series keeps going, because FSD has games 6 & 7.
Versus carried the local San Jose broadcast for the first 2 games I think. I would KILL (a plant) to get the FSD audio on Versus.

Honestly, I think that the tagging of this being informative just makes it even funnier.
My personal view is that Helm and Abdelkader are the future (and current, for that matter) grinders on this team. A perfect Draper-Maltby 1-2 punch.

No offense to Abdelkader but at least it was him and not Z or Dats like it usually is. Justin is a rumble guy. He can take it. Maybe it'll light a fire in him for game 5 and he'll get those clutch goals he always seems to pull out in the playoffs.
According to the game recap, both Abdelkader and Clowe got 4 min ea for roughing at the end of the game.
I'd much rather have a hard fought win like this than a blowout like last year.

You have a good girlfriend. My wife came out just in time for the Sharks' Game 3 rally, so she concluded that she was bad luck and stayed in the bedroom all night rather than watching this game. And we won. Suspicion confirmed.
She's actually a Lightning fan so I've had to take some trash talk for the last few days but she threw on the Wings shirt for me today so it may have to go back on for game 5. Nothing can be changed. I expect the same out of you sir!
My wife and I are meeting my friend's family in the Outer Banks tomorrow for a week vacation, so the game watching situation for Sunday night is completely different. I have to believe that taking me out of my normal element and placing me into a radically different one removes all jinxes and superstitions. However, assuming all is the same for you, your girlfriend now must wear a Wings shirt Sunday night. Remind her that her favorite team's GM is a Wings legend.
