If Rudock can play like this consistently, the sky's the limit.

O-line was dominant against a good (not great) defense.

Also, Derrick Green actually looked really good today. Yes it was in garbage time, but he showed vision and even some power.

Drake Johnson was clearly injured too. Thats why he barely played and they played Higdon so much (in addition to Isaac playing less because of fumbles). Im not sure what it is but Harbaugh gave the standard line in the presser about Johnson working through something.

Pretty incredible what they did against that defense. You can just see they aren't quite firing on all cylinders. If they get it figured out, watch out. Just keep improving every week. That last drive was soul crushing for northwestern.

No turnover. Great game. Good running. I really hope Smith is ok for next week. We need him. That man is a beast. Green looked really good. Higdon looks like he will break one for us and a solid outing.

AJ is awesome. I remember many writers calling for his benching. Here he goes and has a great game.

Rudock was at his best. If he does this every week, noone can beat us.

Just a great game...

aj williams was benched (or temporarily demoted given lack of depth) in the past and rightfully so - prior to this season he had not played very well and showed little consistency.  hes not a dominant player by any means but i have to credit williams (and coaches), hes obviously worked hard and his game reflects it.  not even sure where hes grown the most since williams has gotten demonstrably better blocking and in the pass game.  the dude deserves a lot of credit.

great overall game by this squad.  northwestern obviously not a top 15 type team with that offense but theyre still pretty good - and michigan destroyed them in all phases.  they looked prepared, confident, aggressive, etc, and they appear to be improving each week which is huge.

hopefully the players rock out tonight and coaches relax a little before getting back after it tomorrow

Through the air:

Rudock was 17/23 for 179 yards, good for 10.52 yards per completion and 7.78 yards per attempt across a 73.9% completion percentage.

On the ground:

As a team, 46 carries for 201 yards, or 4.37 yards per rush. Against a rush defense that was ostensibly good, I'll take that. By the averages, Smith had 7.38 yards per carry (8 carries, 59 yards).

I didn't like the fake then pitch the opposite direction play. Too slow to develop and too easy to read. That was literally my only gripe this entire game.
