Michigan Season DVD's
All,
I contacted the Michigan Athletic Department about getting Season DVD's from them each year and offered to pay nicely for them. They got back to me saying that they would not be able to accommodate due to TV rights etc...
Anyone know of a place that does package and sell season DVD's? I ask because I have a friend that is a Nebraska fan and he gets them every year. This would be really cool to have for the cave- a season DVD library.

Because it doesn't sound on the up and up. With all the different networks and schools, it seems like a rights nightmare. It took the NBA forever to do Finals boxed sets, and that was one League and one Network.

I don't see why the university couldn't use their own closed circuit game footage with the Beckmann/Brandstatter radio feed and sell them that way. It would essentially be like Michigan Replay.

That is exactly what Nebraska does for my friend. It does have their version of Brandstatter for commentary.

they do not want film out there. Now, if you want broadcasts, there are two options...
1. Contact the station and go that way.
2. Check Wolverine HIstorian.
Good luck

www.mgovideo.com usually has downloads available.
http://home.comcast.net/~mman3/games.htm claims to have tapes and DVDs available but hasn't updated the website since 2009, it appears.

I'm the same way. I love popping in the DVD of a game while I'm doing homework. It gives me a little distraction every once in a while. However, the rights to them are a nightmare. I wish they would produce every game on DVD with the home footage with Brandstatter/Beckmann commenting. I've watched the '05 PSU game a million times.....

This guy - Art Vuolo - sells games on DVD with the Michigan Radio Broadcast dubbed in. I bought a game and it is pretty good but he charges $18 a game.

I have been taping games since '96 wins and loses but it would be hard to put a whole season together.
