Michigan Hockey: Chances on Burlon's Return for the Frozen Four?

Submitted by bklein09 on

He's got over 10 days to get back to game shape, but I heard he was dealing with some pretty nasty stuff.

Any info or thoughts?

is out for the season, for sure, with the broken collarbone.  Burlon had strep and then a reaction to his medication, leading to a loss of 15 pounds, inflames esophagus, inability to eat solid foods and the like.  It's possibly he's still able to come back for the Frozen Four and from what I've read, that's likely.

at the Yost Post, "Thinks so" (http://michigan.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=41&mid=143486320&sid=883&tid…)

From what I heard of it, it sounds like he was done with the illness and medicine reaction in time for this weekend, he was just nowhere near recovered from their effects.  I believe he even practiced with the team a time or two last week.  So, my guess, would be that with the extra two weeks he *should* be good to go.  Maybe not at 100%, but probably somewhere around 90%.  And while Clare played well this weekend, I think I'd still prefer a 90% Burlon.
