Lou Holtz: Florida vs. ND NC game

Look, I don't post around here much b/c I don't have the time. But I just couldn't let this go. On the 6PM Sportscenter, the talking heads had Lou Holtz on. He then proclaimed that he expected ND to play Florida in the 2009 BCS National Championship game. He said ND will be the favorite in every game but 1 (USC) and because of their schedule he expected them to be there. How ridiculous can it get? I mean I respect this guy, I really do even as a Michigan fan. But at what point does this guy lose any or all credibility he ever had? Has he not watched ND the past, oh I dunno....15 years? Did he not watch them lose to Syracuse, at home last year on senior day? This is beyond stupid. This is beyond homerism. (sp?) I miss Trev Alberts. And Keith Jackson. That is all.

Really needs to fire him they hire these guys to be unbiased, Look at Herbstreit as much as I do not like him he is not afraid to talk bad about osu, it does not happen often but at least he does it.

Dr. Saturday seems to agree that Holtz is juuuust a bit optimistic in his assessment of ND (as he seems to be every year). Too bad DS can't also say what I've been thinking and saying about Holtz for ages: every time the man opens his mouth, I wanna vomit. Football prognostication aside, don't you need to know how to speak in order to be on TV? The only TV prsonality I know with worse diction is Dick Clark, and at least he has a good excuse. (Note: that's not a slam on DC. I love the man. But I hope it's his decision to keep doing Rockin' Eve, not the network's.) One commenter above acknowledged that Herbstreit is fairly unbiased with regard to OSU (and Michigan). That may be true...on TV. Ever listen to his radio show? Herbie hasn't forgotten how to "play to the crowd."

the man disgusts me ... but even more disgusting is nd schedule ... the sad point is it is so weak i even gave it the thought of it being possible for a sec before remebering that usc will win by 35 and we will beat them .... they need to join a major conference if they r ever to get my respect
