Khairi Fortt

He said we were one of the top schools. I know, a long shot, but whatever he is ridiculous. We are battling Tennessee for his last visit. I have been somewhat surprised at our inability to bring in a big name linebacker, considering the amount we have sent pro in the last decade.

The questions that arose when I read this post: (1) "He said we were one of the top schools." When? Did you read this on-line or did he tell you this at junior prom? And who is we, Michigan? And I'm guessing you meant one of the top schools for football? Or academics? (2) "I know, a long shot, but whatever he is ridiculous." Huh? (3) "I have been somewhat surprised at our inability to bring in a big name linebacker, considering the amount we have sent pro in the last decade." Do you mean, this year? You do realize Signing Day is still 6 months away, right? Not a fan of Wilkins? Did you see that Josh Furman has scheduled an official visit? What big name linebacker are you looking for?

The Pirates were in SF while I was there. I still went and took pictures from the outside of the park. Still looked nice from the outside. Took pictures of the statues. Then ate at one the restaurants right outside the stadium. It's really awesome how they have the restaurants RIGHT THERE outside the park.

Yeah...it was cool. We had seats right behind home plate, so we were looking straight out at the Roberto Clemente Bridge and the city skyline. It was the most picturesque ballpark I've ever visited. (Full disclosure: I've also gone to home games for the Dodgers, Angels, Cubs, Tigers, Cardinals, Rays, and Orioles.)

a) I don't often call people names here. Most of my arguments are based on factual differences; name calling is pointless. The one exception I can think of was the 2007 Northwestern game where everyone on here was going crazy during the first half and I called them all "pussies" for acting like we were losing before the game was even half over. We ended up winning the game. b) I don't go apeshit when people confuse quick and spinner. I just correct them. You people act as if making factual statements is dick-ish just because I don't surround them with witty comments or "No offense, but...." c) I also rarely apologize for overreacting, because I don't often overreact.

and true. However, I'm not going to apologize for trying to hold an OP to a higher quality of posting than what I saw above. As you can see, I got the link that I wanted. That's all I wanted. GO BLUE.

Fortt could play as a Michigan freshman against his home state university in 2010. I knew Martin had a brilliant devious reason somewhere.

ND felt good about Fortt back in the February to April time frame but after visiting for a junior day didn't seem to excited about having Tenuta as his LB coach which was disappointing but understandable. He doesn't come off as the Santa Clause type even to kids :) But anyway, Fortt has gone through the process the right way, he has been on a lot of visits and didn't ever come off as just looking to up his recruiting ranking. In one of his recent interviews he said he was only going to take 3 official visits and 2 of the schools are PSU and UNC. My pure guess would be UF for that 3rd slot but it is only a guess and mostly based off of him going to their FNL event recently.

Penn State is really starting to piss me off, with their highfalutin recruitin' and all... But seriously, am i the only one who is gettin a bit worried about PSU and their high ranked classes. They are going to be loaded for the next couple of years and will be a major challenge to us and OSU for tops in the B11.

Why did you say "classes" as if they're bringing in more than one highly rated class? In terms of "star gazing", the class they just signed was entirely average, and they lost one of the best players from it when Givens didn't get through admissions. As for this year, well...winning 11 games and going to the Rose Bowl tends to provide a big boost to your recruiting efforts.

They're definitely getting their money's worth from the rose bowl game. I am not sure if there is anyone they have high on their board, that they missed on. If it makes you feel any better they can't take a full class this year, so I would doubt they end up with anything more than a top 10 class
