I loved what I saw out of Junior, and I think that if he fully recovers he should end up as our go-to-guy over the next few years. He's a really terrific kid, and I'm excited that he'll get another year with us.

I don't know what you saw out of him except one good, diving catch. Mathews had about three of them last year. I'm not saying Hemingway is bad or that Mathews is great. But with all the big catches Mathews made for us on bad throws, I think it's premature to anoint Hemingway our best receiver. And Mathews showed a little more speed last year than he did in previous years. If we had a decent quarterback, Mathews would be at least as productive as Adrian Arrington.

Chally, I kind of agree with you. I do not know if he will be our go to guy. That is yet to be determined. The one thing that is a guarantee is how important he may be. It is between him or Stonum to emerge as a real good second outside receiver. I think this is key in making our overall scheme more difficult to defend. Stretching the defense in some way is always important to any offense. Matthews clearly does not posses the top end speed to do that, so it is up to these two. I hope it is Junior as he has been a favorite of mine, since he got here.

Good to have both him and Stonum in that year's class now. We'll have two junior WRs with experience when the Miller/Jackson/whoever else 2010 class comes in. Now lets hope one or both really step up this year. I think some QB stability will help, hopefully either Forcier earns the job or Threet stays healthy.

It's astonishing how many injuries (or illnesses, in this case) we suffered on the offensive side of the ball this season. As if it weren't enough being incredibly young...
