It cant get any worse

For those masochistic, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abDUqqcX7rA This is the first time I've seen this since being at the game and wow. We killed ourselves so much and forget it was actually close in the first half. Also man our offense was so bad.

throughout the entire first half and some of the second. Like many games last season and this season, we beat the hell out of ourselves despite many opportunties. Michigan's defense was animialistic for periods and I remember think that our lack of depth was really the only reason we did not continue to compete. With a competent offense (and it is competent, the offensive performance considering the D's lack of competence is actually very impressive the last few weeks), Michigan can make this game interesting. M needs something to bolster defensive confidence in the early going. Nothing even drastic, just maybe forcing a three and out in OSU's first possession would do wonders. If Michigan can get OSU is a hole early, I think they win. Reason - how hard does OSU want to fight knowing that one injury, one wrong step by player X and they are watching the Rose Bowl from the sideline. It will be in the back of their head the entire game. Step on em early, and the Wolves have a chance.

I agree. I, too, was at the game, and haven't watched any video from it since, but I have to agree that this gives me hope for this year's game. Call me optimistic, but as a whole, we have improved QB play, a much improved offensive line, a better running game, and better special teams. OSU, on the other hand, has suffered some serious losses from last year's team. They lost their top two WRs, lost a lot of their offensive line, and lost a lot of talent defensively. Throw in that the game is at home, and I think we have at least a small fraction of a chance on Saturday.

not counting the bye week. When Bo went off in 69 about 50 points in the 68 game he was talking to a team that could take pride in what it had done up to that point. Confidence is an issue here unlike then. I totally get the TOs and self sabotage - and am hoping for a turnaround on that front, but watching this is not imbuing confidence. I do have hope though.

That top vid actually makes this seasons improvements much more apparent! We tackle better, hold onto the ball somewhat better, and we replace Sheridan with Tate. Probably starting to let myself get to optimistic...

Remember the dread of last season going into the Game with Threet out (and I think Sheridan wasn't 100%)? At least Tate is healthy. Now if Minor can bootstrap himself through one whole game (with Brown supporting), maybe we have a shot. The key will be rattling Pryor early. I am not naive, and have very little optimism, but the offensive situation is much better than last year, so Go blue!

See? That's what I can't stand about the NCAA and it's stupid mandatory handshake rules. The eagerness of UM's and OSU's players to shake each others' hands last year shows how unnecessary the rule is.
