Hockey Ranked #6 Today, On FSD This Weekend (Stream on BTN+)

While the circumstances that make it possible are depressing to historic proportions, I am so excited to see hockey get some exposure to the fanbase at large!

In the news today, we're ranked #6 per the latest USCHO:

And USA Today poll:

Meanwhile, the Buccigross Power Index has us at #4 (haha):

In other news, we're at Wisky next in a Thurs/Fri series, and congrats to the local folks, because both games will be on Fox Sports Detroit (Stream on FSD+):

Out-of-towners will be able to watch on BTN+, but this is still good news for us as the stream will likely use the FSD feed instead of the Jumbotron feed's motion-sickness, pore-o-vision, audio malfunctioning craziness (ugh).

Here's to the board going full hoops/hockey mode outside of a single eternal football snowflake thread (get on it LSA lol).

Go Blue!

We are a basketball/hockey/baseball/softball school!!!

Great memories of the dominant hockey teams from the nineties. Yost was the place to be ?

Definitely will be watching these hockey games. Go Blue.

We were dominant in the early 2000s too but Red Berenson became Bobby Bowden-esque (i.e. blew many chances at a Saban-esque Alabama dynasty). For those that don't remember (or were too young), FSU could've won a National Championship every year from 1993 to 2000 except 1995.

Ex: People forget that FSU was undefeated like Michigan in 1997 entering final regular season game. But we beat Ohio State while Spurrier's Florida upset FSU.

That said, I'll be forever grateful to Coach Berenson for reviving Michigan Hockey.

I thought we might sneak a few #1 votes after that beating and some kind soul on USCHO did come through

also thumbs up to FSD picking this up. Hopefully they use it for BTN+. Last weekends production was probably the worst produced sporting event I’ve ever seen
