Good news for M re: #1 kicker Quinn Nordin
Rockford kicker Quinn Nordin, who is ranked #1 in the nation by Kornblue Kicking and is a 5 star kicking prospect, will be taking only one more visit before he makes his decision.
That visit will be to Michigan.
The good news is that MSU just took a kicker today so that only shoots Michigan's odds at getting him up the charts.
His finalists are Michigan, Penn State, MSU, Georgia and Arizona State.
Nordin is also the #19 ranked punter.

Kickers are so underrated to some people and I will never understand why.

Allen Trieu now thinks Bama for Khalid Kareem, FWIW. Said he hasn't spoken to Michigan today and he has talked to Bama. Said it is either Bama or he is flipping back and forth all the way up to the announcement. I tend to think the kid has an idea of where he wants to go when he sets a date so I'm not sure that Khalid is still flip-flopping.
Would be disappointing to lose out on him post-Jay Harbugh Hype Train, but if it's not us I am glad it's Bama and not Sparty. Good luck to him wherever he chooses, he could be a good one.

I can't imagine what Harbaugh will put kickers through in terms of constant competition/mock stress and mental exercises (since a lot of kicking is mental). Harbaugh seems to like testing the mental side of football players.
