Free Zoom April 15 - Understanding Team Culture with Former U-M Football Player, Fritz Seyferth

Submitted by rayfrom19 on April 12th, 2024 at 2:11 PM

Fritz was part of the fabled 1969 Michigan team that upset OSU. He worked for the athletic department for 21 years, where he was a recruiting director in the 80s and an assistant athletic director in the 90s. In 1998, he was named Executive Associate Athletic Director as the #2 person in the Athletic department.

Fritz will share his unique perspective on Michigan Football and how structures/systems/methodologies can lead to sustainable success. He will address questions such as:

1) Why was this Team 144 successful?
2) How did Michigan establish a winning culture?
3) What makes a leader successful?
4) How Michigan sports can be positioned for success in the future

With more than 40 years of study—and 21 years as a leader at the University of Michigan Athletics and former football player—Seyferth has found that the principles for achieving greatness on the sports field are the same in the business world.

9:00 EST P.M. on Monday, April 15.

Brian has talked so much about "culture," and we all know how important it is. This is going to be a great perspective on what exactly culture is, what the ingredients are for great culture, and how culture has impacted Michigan football (and athletics) for better or worse.

Thanks Fritz. But why is your username Ray?

Fritz came to speak at my place of employement 10 years ago. I’ll pass. I don’t need more resilience training.
