FAU interviews Luke Fickell for HC Job

If Fickell moves on it would be interesting if OSU makes a play for Narduzzi.  Texas A&M came at him but not hard enough last year (just imagine a MSU type defense paried with A&M offense) and I am sure OSU would be fine with doubling Narduzzi's salary to $1M and into Kirby Smart territory which is more than he would get at most HC jobs.  That said it sounds like Narduzzi really wants a HC job if the right opening opens. 

p.s. can't Fickell do better than FAU?

I'm no fan of Ohio State. But the Urban Meyer bashing seems a bit cheap and wrongheaded to me.

The man is hands down the best coach in the Big Ten, and one of a small handful of elite coaches in the country. One can't have that kind of success without putting together good staffs, appealing to alums and administrators, etc. And dickheads don't succeed like that. He's good. I respect him.

Whether other Michigan fans want to give the man his props or not, he is the real deal, and I'm glad we have him in the B1G. I also hope we beat him, however unlikely that may be this year.

Right now Ohio State is the most legit program in our conference. That's good for the conference, and what's good for the conference is good for us.

Our task is to build the kind of program that is also elite. We are far from there yet.

But imagine a conference where Michigan, OSU, PSU, Nebraska, MSU and and Wisconsin all field elite teams. That kind of conference helps everyone.
