I agree with all but the AJ Hawk pick, but maybe i am just a homer.
Guns don't kill people, Lamarr Woodley kills people

It's pretty cool that Lamarr is on this hypothetical all decade team, but I don't put much stock into it. What I think is funny is that for once I agree with many of the comments. How do you select four safeties and zero corners? Like one poster mentioned, these positions are not interchangeable. Anyway, good to see Lamarr get the love.

(hinton) wrote on twitter that no one voted for DBs.

also on the offense (just posted) leaving michigan with TWO players on the all-time team (which is tied for second with USC, and OSU). miami had three, which put them with the most (by my quick count)
cue the "lloyd carr was a horrible coach whose team's underperformed" meme.

either of these All-Decade lists, but I certainly hope no one is putting enough stock in an internet vote that they would point to it as some kind of legitimate support for an argument against Carr.
Or internet voting as legitimate support for any thing for that matter. For god's sake Avatar is #22 on IMDB's all-time movies right now.

The fact that he had good individual players doesn't really verify that his teams didn't under perform. These are individual accolades and have no impact on Carr's legacy.

...who only got his chance to coach because Moeller had a bad night and mini-breakdown. If he was that freakin' great, why was he not picked to succeed Bo? Just admit that when it came to being a head coach he an average guy.
A handful of upsets (2001 vs OSU, 1999 vs Illinois, 1995 vs Northwestern, 1996 @ NW, 2006 vs App St, etc) are somewhat nullified by his 95 and 96 upsets of OSU, his 97 team and some other big wins in Columbus and Happy Valley. But some of those upset victories came after we were upset ourselves.
He was average, or his results were pretty average for the amoutn of talent he had.

I think *we* chose Woodley. MGoBlog seriously took over that whole series of ballots did it not?

Yes we did. Nice work, guys!

Anyone know why he didn't win?
I was pretty sure he was ahead for a majority of the poll, but now he was out... Not cool...

marvel at what an amazing game/scrimmage that would be? To see that monstrous O-Line try to open holes against a D-Line that could swallow the sun? To see Adrian Peterson and Reggie Bush try to juke Ed Reed and Eric Berry? To see Vince Young pitching it around to Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Crabtree?
I have no idea which side would come out ahead, but damn I want to see that game.
