DC Stonums 1 game suspension early in season..

Submitted by RRerabeginsin2009 on
I don't know if any heard, but the reason DC Stonum sat out 1 game this yr was because of alcohol related things. Stonums' a good kid, we all make mistakes. He has been working real hard in the offseason to become an impact player. I hate when news reporters make everything public about peoples lifes. Just like Michael Phelps, they say he lost some fans because of his incident. WELL THEY NEVER WOULD OF KNOWN IF YOU REPORTERS DIDNT PUT THIS PUBLIC. Athletes Personal Lifes should stay out of the press. http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/football/index.ssf/2009/02/university_o…

I can say that I'm seeing a picture of a girl as your avatar, and a picture of Sheridan sitting on a bench as Brodie's avatar. So I'm guessing it's something on your end. I only noticed Brodie's change when I cleared my history, and deleted my temp files and cookies. Just thought I'd mention that as something that might be helpful.

OK, this is my new picture. It will be mine forever, unless another dipshit steals it, which I hope doesn't happen. It is a map of Michigan(the state I'm from), but it's in maize and blue(Michigan colors). By the way, the cache/cookie clear trick works. Thanks for the help.

Shit, RR replaced Gerg already? Although FWIW I hear Stonum has a solid coaching pedigree, likes to blitz frequently, put pressure on the quarterback, and minimizes big plays.

...by that it was reported long ago he had a DUI. Stonum even brought it up himself and apologized to UM fans. But yes, this is new news about him pleading guilty etc. He's taking responsibility for his actions which is good and also because if he didn't, he probably would have been kicked off the team. Hopefully, he'll never be as stupid again.

....but then I would recommend you do an interwebs search with Stonum and suspension. Then I would just sit on information that has been in the public sphere since October, because I'm pretty sure that people who closely follow Michigan football already knew through the proprietor of this site and others when Michigan began to hypothesize about a possible suspension, let alone when it was publicly announced.

The real question -- what is Stonum's favorite color? That obviously had much to do with influencing him in his decision to turn to the dark side.

RRerabeginsin2009 on Watergate: Dude, those reporters shouldn't have gone after Nixon! There's no need to make spying on the opposing party public knosledge! Richard Nixon lost tons of fans from that incident! on steroids in baseball: Why did those pushy reporters have to tell us that McGuire was on steroids? All of this should have been kept private! You're violating A-Rod's privacy! on OJ's trials: OJ's a good guy, we all make mistakes. He always worked real hard in the NFL and was a great player. I hate it when the mainstream media makes such a big deal over these things.

is my favorite player on the team. I am friends with him on myspace...i only added him to see if it was actually him, and he took the time to talk to me and he was actually asking me about how i was doing in football. Everyone makes mistakes, im sure he regrets it, and he is working his ass off for next season. Ive saw bulletins from him saying something along the lines of "last season will never happen again, i just want everyone to know that im working my ass off to change this" Its not that surprising that a kid drank alcohol going to a major college for the first time. Its what all kids do

A friendly hint: You're relatively new on this board, it seems. You should probably operate under the assumption that unless something happened today, frequent posters/readers on here already know about it. I'm not saying you shouldn't offer information. But the context - "Stonum pled guilty today," for example - is different than "Did you know Stonum got a DUI and that's why he was suspended?" Because the resounding answer to the second question is YES.
