Nothing special, but solid noon (+11:30a) slate...not going to miss much while watching Michigan at 3:30...then those late and late late games are crazy good.

92% A- grade.

they don't pass the proverbial 'eye test'

They've beaten precisely no one (their best win - Oregon - now looks like a rough outing for the Huskers offense in retrospect) and they've played reasonably close games with every crummy Big Ten team on their slate: Purdue, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern. Their marquee game of the seasons at this point is almost beating Wisconsin

If OSU doesn't do it tonight, someone's definitely going to beat them by 20 or 30 at some point this season

I am particularly excited about some of the options in the evening this time around, but sadly a prior commitment means missing most of the noon slate. Still, I might keep up with them a bit on my phone, at least before my wife starts hitting me and telling me to put the phone away. Frequent pretend bathroom breaks are invaluable in these situations.

UofM goes the whole season with no gameday home or away. What are the odds they choose Columbus over Tuscaloosa? Maybe @ Iowa??? Maybe vs IU since the SEC is holding body bag week?

Does anybody want to beat the shit out of Maryland today because even though DJ Durkin was a great DC, he let us down big time against OSU last year?

I feel this way and I'm not sure if it makes me a bad person or not.

I don't have hatred for Durkin because he was a big piece of bringing Michigan "back" with his defense and recruiting.

OSU was terrible and I'm not going to say I'm rooting for him. But I don't hate the guy.

It doesn't make you a bad person though.

Me? I'm looking for Speight's best game an a bonafide Heisman moment from Jabrill...I'll take both of those over Rutgersing the Terps.

but it's hard to beat Gameday in Death Valley and a Saturday night contest between Alabama and LSU. I will admit, though, that without Les prowling the sidelines I'm much more neutral about this matchup.

One of the best anywhere in the country.

But people don't realize that when Bama or LSU or Clemson are good...they get one of those every year. Whether it be playing each other, or Tennessee or Ole Miss or Florida coming to town...they get one of those UTL1 games - especially when they're at night.

I hate the SEC, but their gameday experience is a way of life. Those people LIVE for their 7-8 Saturday's each year. It's insane.

Other places replicate it for big games, but college football in the south is something special. Plus the weather is generally better and the girls are hotter, so that always helps.

I did Clemson this year for Louisville and it was the greatest atmosphere i've ever been part of in my life.

I'm huge on the "bucket list" rivalry games and matchups or venues. That atmosphere was UN. REAL.

I HAVE to do LSU for a night game though...I'd like to do UF at FSU as well. Don't really care about the Stadium, but I want to tailgate at Ole Miss and see what all that is about.

Clemson was better than UF, Tennessee, Columbus, Lane Stadium on a Thursday night.

Of course they are not allowed at Michigan.

We don't have the well-mannered respectful fanbases and quiet hard-studying college towns they have in the SEC that make all their night games feasible.

Ann Arbor at night is totally unique in all of college football.

Wait . . . what?
