Brady Hoke Q & A; RB/Borges article; Hockey Player Coverage

Submitted by M-Wolverine on

Edit: There was a lot of Michigan coverage today for April. That's a good thing, I think.

OP, on Hoke article: Looks like they just transcribed a radio interview, but interesting nonetheless.

And the dreaded Freep, but some good coverage.  Maybe the only major media coverage of a guy named "Scooter" who plays college hockey-

Denard might have something to say about this:

"Nine times out of 10, the best guy on the field is going to be the running back. So when you have those guys, down the road you may have a chance to play a guy in a different position if he is not in that top three, and you are going to have a good athlete on the field."

I guess Denard is the 10th case, eh?  :)

Seriously, I get what Hoke is saying, and I understand the importance of the RB position, but I'd think that the best pure athletes are usually playing CB or S.

Worse still, she is without question, the most obnoxious woman I have ever heard on the radio. On the kick-off shows, Lucie-Ann laughs like a hyena over any and everything said, enough so that I have to change the dial every time I hear her cackle. I've often wondered what that dumb bitch looks like. Now, sadly, I know.

She's what comes to mind when I think "Ann Arbor townie" (and not in a good way).  Provincial, insipid, etc.  On the plus side, these people help fill the stadium.

Older MGoBlog types might remember WIQB (102.9 FM) in Ann Arbor.  For a college town station, it had the most awful Top 40ish play list you could imagine.  I reasoned that it was targeted to the townies.

I'm not doubting Borges's intentions, but I'm pretty sure we've heard the same thing from virtually every coordinator on both sides of the ball for the last 20 years. Sometimes it's accurate, sometimes it's not.

Hoke seems to have a nice family...his wife was his old HS sweetheart or something like that.  I wonder how he got that nasty scar on his chin.  Looks like and old linebacker thing where the chinstrap may have took a helmet from an opposing lineman.
