Better Seats in the Big House?

A friend was gracious enough to give me four tickets to the Toledo game.  The only issue is that the seats are not together.  My wife and I will be using two and my step-son and his buddy are going to their first game at the Big House.  I'm hoping to get some feedback as to which section might be better for my wife and I to sit in.  Two of the tickets are in Section 17 up high and the other two are in Section 40, also up high.  My wife prefers the sunny side, but I can't remember which one that is - I've only been to one game and I was fairly intoxicated....
