Any alternatives to SI's Saturday Snaps?

Submitted by Gulogulo37 on

For the last couple years or so, SI.com has had a "Saturday Snaps" feature that would give a short rundown of everything interesting that happened that day. They usually had an article up quickly after the noon games, another after the late afternoon games, and one more after the evening games. It was great for seeing what happened in all the top 25 games and other intriguing matchups without having to read a full recap of each and even talked about interesting games from teams I wouldn't otherwise care about (e.g., an amazing stat line or crazy play). I live in Korea, so I can't watch as much football as I'd like to and don't watch any of the shows on ESPN or Fox recapping the night.

Here's an example: http://www.si.com/college-football/campus-union/2013/11/09/florida-stat…

I've been searching for them on SI's site this year but haven't seen anything. Maybe they didn't get enough page views. Does anyone know any other site that has something similar? I know articles come out recapping the weekend and I read some of those, but they aren't that comprehensive.

Cool, thanks. That's useful.

"The bad news is that the Wildcats got hit with a slew of injuries, with seven different players needing to leave the game. That included safety Godwin Igwebuike, defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo and left tackle Geoff Mogus. "

That's exactly the kind of info I was hoping to find. I knew it was close and even watched the last half of the 4th quarter, but I didn't know about the injuries and probably wouldn't have unless it got mentioned in the B1G part of the mgoblog podcast.
