Official and everything:

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the postponement of the 2020-21 fall sports season, including all regular-season contests and Big Ten Championships and Tournaments, due to ongoing health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This knocks out football, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, and cross country. Notably, basketball and hockey are not yet on the chopping block. They probably will be, but let a man hold on to his hopes of seeing Kent Johnson and Owen Power and all the other super-talented guys in this hockey recruiting class while he can.

There is no content after the jump.

God I love Michigan football but I hate the big 10 conference. Catering to osu and looking the other way.  Constantly making bad decisions when it comes to other conference and teams. What a bout a wait and see approach. If it's not working cancel then. That's how the big boys are doing it.

Insane.

We can’t let 100 kids under constant supervision, testing and immediate quarantining play football, but we can bring 40,000 students to campus to form a human mosh pit under no supervision.

We think it is wiser to send the athletes home to live with their grandparents with preexisting conditions than have the student athletes on campus with largely impervious peers and some of the best healthcare in the world.

We are worried about liability when any athlete can opt out of football and those that want to play can sign a 1-paragraph waiver.

2020 continues to be an unending parade of morons making destructive decisions.

Ok lets say they do play and there is an outbreak and you have to quarantine half the team during the season, do we even want to watch those games? They will be pathetic.
