I graduated from PiHi and UM. I am glad Pioneer beat Inkster. I am also glad that Michigan is getting Gardener and Miller. They sound like they are great players. It felt like I was at the game. Even though I live in Wisconsin I felt the game atmosphere. Great job Brian!!!

I read somewhere, I think in the Freep (so take with a grain of salt?) that because Inkster was only paying five Michigan opponents, they had to win all five to be playoff eligible. I think this ends Inkster's run at a state title before it even begins. I hope I'm wrong. I want Gardner to get as many snaps as possible.

Just in case anybody was wondering, small non miller WR is # 5 Brandis Yarrington, he is about a mac level recruit. As for how Jeron Clayton looked, well he has mono and did not play. I actually thought Miller dropped two catchable balls today, both in the first half. After the second one he went to go see the trainer. It appeared to be a minor injury since he came back a few plays later.

Don't want to retroactively go through the entire thing... Can I get a summary on how Gardner and Miller performed? (Saw the thing on Miller's dropped balls and potential injury, but there has to be more than that)

last night. exciting to the end--and that is why we watch this sport, isn't it? Ricardo--he might not be used to the cold yet. It was rather chilly last night. Gardner--Yeah, he wasn't perfect, but its high school. Give him a break already. First game and all. Inkster's team was HUGE compared to Pioneer. I was really shocked Pioneer stayed with them, let alone beat them. 10 bucks to get into the game! that smarted a little. caw caw!

First off, I've got to say that was one of the best high school football games I've ever been to. My son goes to PHS so we were pulling for the Pioneers but I was there in my Michigan garb to watch both Miller and Gardener. There were a ton on Michigan fans there. I also saw at least 10 current player including Tate and Denard. Miller did drop two passes in the first but neither were right to him. Still, he got his hands on them and they could have been caught. DG looked good on his passes for the most part. Both teams run a lot so it was hard to get much of a look at either player. I was surprised Inkster didn't call more runs for DG. I think they called 4 the whole night. He was easily the biggest kid out there. Of course, none of this will matter if Michigan gets put on some sort of NCAA sanctions.

there were a dozen UM players there including tate and denard and bell etc etc...i personally did not stalk them but I did send my niece over to get some autographs. She is cute and irresistable so that worked out well. My nephew plays for Pioneer. They are really running a tight program this year. For one thing, parents are not allowed at practices period. Also, Ricardo was in Florida until just about a week or so ago. Hence, he missed half of camp.
