But yeah he is but with maclin and Jackson on Philly too and avant being a possession guy he's not going to get the recognition.

I thought my points had come back by your post. They haven't. Whatever.

I was at the Northwestern game when he made this ridiculous catch.

I was there as well. Fun game to attend. I remember Michigan fans working up a "Beat the Buckeyes!" chant as the players walked into the tunnel.

said Avant was probably one of the finest people ever to wear the winged helmet.

Always liked Avant. Probably never going to be given much credit because he is a possession receiver, but one of my favorite UM receivers and it is nice to see him find a hold in the NFL.

That dude saved our asses in countless games with huge, clutch catches. I'm glad to see him succeeding in the NFL.

I also believe he is one of the finest to wear the blue and maize. Amazing catches and amazing personality. The story below from the Daily is a great glimpse of this great person. It is very easy to cheer for people like Jason Avant.

involve his practically ALWAYS making key third-down catches. Whenever Michigan had a third down, my first thought was, "Throw it to Avant -- he'll make the catch." He's still one of my favorite Wolverines.
As far as that dropped touchdown pass Sunday night...I think it was just too easy.

I live in Philadelphia and have season tickets to the Eagles. Avant does not get the hype that Jackson or Maclin get, but he is greatly appreciated.
No one could believe it when he dropped that pass in the end zone last night, because he has been so sure handed in his career.
He is the go to guy on 3rd down and always seems to be catching passes for first downs.
I got an Avant Eagles jersey the day he was drafted and I've noticed more and more Avant jersey's at the games in the last two years.
